  • I love your videos!!!

    Please keep making more :)

  • Ben, I admire you for your effort. I wish I can find a teacher who will teach me toishanese in L.A. My parents who passed away were from Toishan. I can understand the dialect but cannot speak it.

  • i think Canto is a bit more useful when you go to chinese restaurant~

Can you get a HD cam next time?

  • Keep up the gd work!!!

just wanna leave a comment to support you!!! Cantonese isnt easy at all....

is it very hard for you to learn Cantonese..just curious...haaha

    anyway u did pretty well

  • @sukikpop Thanks. Yes it was hard, and still is. I still don't consider myself fluent after 4 years, but I don't study as much as I did at first. Mostly now I just listen to podcasts and watch movies, and write down words that are new.

  • lolll can u type chinese?? and did u marry a chinese wife? i am a native cantonese speaker keep up the great work.. xddd post more vids dude haha

  • :O :O :O, WAAAAA, ho ho ah!!!!!

  • there's some grammatical error, but keep up the good work!!!

  • @jrotc1991 Thanks, which grammatical errors?

  • I am from Hong Kong. Your Cantonese is excellent. You'll have no problem to live in HK. Good Job.

  • Thanks for the reply. Totally understood. Well keep it up man. :)

  • Keep going with the Cantonese dude!

Your video is pretty good. You also have a Toisanese and American accent too! It's wicked awesome. Do a Toisanese video!

My anglo partner wants to learn Cantonese too! You're an inspiration!

  • @MagneticFields86 Thanks, but I put my Toisanese practice aside for now since there were just too many other things going on in my life. My in-laws didn't understand why I would want to learn Toisanese anyways and kept telling me to just focus on Cantonese. If I make a video, it would just be very basic phrases and I might have forgotten some of the pronunciation by now.

  • i love american accents in chinese! I've heard cantonese is hard because of all the tones but your good except maybe you can work on the "ums" and gaps between phrases to improve more.

    Best of luck :)

  • @NavyBabyBlue Thanks. Unfortunately I have a lot of "ums" even when I speak English too, but I could at least work on replacing them with 哩就

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!

  • Good job

  • you've been learning three years??? holy crap xD your canto is really good! :D
