He was in a car crash with EeTeuk, EunHyuk, and ShinDong (I believe he was in it?). EunHyuk and ShinDong (?) were fine and were able to walk away, EeTeuk was in the hospital for a while and had to get glass removed from his back, but KyuHyun got the worst of it. I don't think he'll be doing band-related things for quite a while, possibley as long as HeeChul was out, especially since they had to put a breathing tube in. But, who knows!
I found out most of it through the super junior community on livejournal. It's basically just passed around the fans from people who translate stuff from the Korean. KyuHyun is doing a lot better, though.

i think he got discharged recently. not sure. but he got like a fractured hip, broken ribs, and a lot of scratches and all that :[ poor kyuhyun.
