@millitantatheist1 while attending one of the best universities in my state, I remember how much indoctrination there was to mold young minds into the liberal way of thinking. In my experience however there are more liberals that are grossly uneducated that there are educated ones. And most conservatives I have come across are more educated and informed. i would consider a liberal to be someone who believes that people should have social freedom(eg: free speech, to vote, assembly, etc) and that goverment should be economically socialist(living wages, affordable housing, urban renewals, a general emphasis on people and their wellbeing).

we cut defense funding by 50%, this leaves us with a free 344.5 billion, i say cut this in half again, andyou have 172.25 billion, use 1/2 to fund social programs, and the other 1/2 to pay back the debt.

The thing is, conservatives are the exact thing you say from what has gone on over the days of Bush's administration. Wire taps, tax cuts for the rich, two wars, one of which was unconstitutional and yielded no WMDs (though Hussein being ousted was an upside). The majority of Republican nominees from what I have seen are unedcated or outright liars and crooks with no sense of decency, and I happen to be a white man who has been out of work no thanks to the recession started by Bush.
