y r ppl surprised that the game was sold out? It's the top 50 canadian hockey players playing each other? The skill level is way better than a nhl game. Who wouldn't go? It doesn't matters if it's winter or summer. i would pay big bucks for this game if i had a chance to go.
they got a silver medal in 06, beat team canada 2-0 (with thornton, igninla, vinny and luongo brodeur in net), then beat ovechkin and russia 4-0 in the semi finals they shut out ovechkin and kovalchuk
they eventually lost to sweden in the gold medal game 3-2 barely
as a finn i'd say if finland gets somewhat same kind of team that was in Torino, we have a chance, but i really don't believe we can beat canada or russia. I think finals will be Canada-Russia and bronze Sweden-Usa or Sweden-Finland
Well i hate the fact that our players are afraid to take responsibility :S They just pass the puck and no1 is brave enough to take a shot or whatever. Thats why i like the russians and canadians. Ive always wondered why Finland has done so well in the world championships :D We have something... And ofcourse our goalies are great, but thats not all you need.
