  • Be proud in your culture and heritage as well - - anyone with a little money can build a big house !!! Ghana is proud and rich please keep it that way -good rap fella

  • @bombsheezle I did read the title but ya need to get over yourself. What do u expect the news to say? And it's not even always bad.Main issue is the children in Ghana starving and struggling and where are the poor ones? I bet not in the nice houses. So what will be the point of showing the nice place when it's irrelevant? Although showing poor side of Ghana may upset you. Think about this. They are raising awareness on how someple are struggling so people will help. What are you doing to help?

  • @TheBrittanygirl123 I live here in the states and I have also lived in UK. from my experience we still have people here who thinks people live on trees in Africa, Africa is all about disease and hunger and war, I meet people who still think africa is a country and not a continent so believe this video will be a source of education for people who thinks that way since almost everybody from all sort of live visit youtube. Cuz you know not everybody loves to read or research about other continent.

  • @TheBrittanygirl123 See we dont need to show people ghana is poor cuz they already know. to the ordinary american or european once you are from africa you are poor. Most of them think everybody in africa lives in mud houses. They are the once this video is targeted at.

  • ok but Ghana dey bee waaaaaa

  • I lived in ghana for 5 years, thought this was long ago I can say it is a country of the kindest and most selfless people I have ever encountered. It has turned me into a much better person than I used to be. God bless.

  • THANK U, you do not know how i feel wite know

  • I appreciate the different view of Ghana, but this video is mostly of European-style buildings. Ghana needs to utilize African architectural styles in the modernization (like Mali and Burkina Faso) or they will just look like a poor imitation of European & American concepts. Classical Ghanaian architecture in both the north and south is among the most innovation and beautiful architecture in Africa, but they are ignoring it as a foundation for modern architecture in the country

  • This is the only half the problem because when i went to ghana i saw little children begging for food and money. So yeah i feel a little bit better for telling the truth and not living in denial. Yes ghana has a good side but the dark side far out weigh it like the north and south divide which will eventually turn into violence like ivory coast and nigeria.

  • @ghanabanana considerin da fact dat 28% of Gh is poor i dont c how dis is impocbl but u'v got 2 remembr da 72% dat rn't left GH not to 4gt it or becuz i wntd 2 but i left 2 go n learn things 2 bring bk 2 MY homeland so we wont av 2 suffer any longr.2gdr GH stands 2 celebrate 2gedr dey shal win al BATTLES. a true GHANAIAN dont diss his/her country n certainly dsn't 4gt it.Remembr whre u cum 4rm.It's wat mad u..u LEAVE BUT NVR 4GET.CHARITY starts at HOME n GH I SHALL RETURN.God Bles u

  • yo kelvin you are awesome, one love ghana

  • Visiting Ghana in July.

  • znznb please visit from Ghana!!

  • Ghana a great democratic country that has no jobs, leaders eat up the hard earn money and keep it in private banks, The roads sucks, Half the poplation are upset and migrating to europe. One side is poorer than the other, Barely any hospitals, The people try to scum you on holidays bcause they think you have money. Most follow christianty thinking god is gonna save them. most wont return, The oil will cause corruption and ghana will remain the same under democracey while u live in denial.

  • @ghanabanana

you feel better now that you spewed that nonsense? no? oh well. the no jobs one confuses me but hey what do I know. I mean no one lies on the internet right?

  • @oscarmike1131 I cant believe you would question a real ghanaian, you must either be a john atta mills informer or you are not a ghanaian. First of all i have three educated cousins migrate to europe for the so called better life. Two of the them have dead end jobs and no they are not cleaners. I know lots of ghanaians who speak badly of ghana cause they dont know when or if they will ever return. In britain ghanaian youths kill each other cause they ave forgotten who they are.

  • @ghanabanana Didnt you read the heading of the video before watching. It doesnt say is all gravy in ghana did it. Its only only trying to portray the beautiful side of ghana.

  • whats all this talk about trying to prove something, the maker of the video is just showing his impression of Ghana so whats all this you don't need to prove talk. Its not like he is arguing, he is just showing from another view that's all

  • more or less the accra they never show you....lol

  • Now thats what im talking about GHANA's got SWAGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!

    GOD BLESS OUR HOMELAND GHANA.

  • I am willing to start my medicine studies this year!! I hope after 7 years I will go and volunteer in Ghana as a doctor! GOD BLESS GHANA GOD BLESS AFRICA the mother of HUMAN KIND!!!!!!!!!

  • l love my motherland,ghana a place to be

  • Why are people so worked up about someone showing a few places in Ghana. The author is just trying to show that there's more to Ghana than what the Western media show to it's people on TV. Damn, every country has it's good and bad side, buit when it comes to Africa they never show the good side. Why !! I've seen more beggers on the streets of Chicago than i have in Accra. What i see in Accra is young people trying to start a business and not lining their lazy asses for food stamps and soup.

  • @MrAFORCEONE the Western media does show the other side of Africa as well. Some countries are better than others, but dont make the different non-African media all alike, some are good, some awful and some are out of reach or out of coverage area.

What the Amr. media shows might not be want the media in Belgium shows or in Finland. What is "Western Media"? In my country, Denmark, a local newsstation made a series called "Black Business" to encourage ppl to start a business in Africa

  • @Baal1985 main point, dont confuse Amr media with "Western media" what ever that is, that was my main point i think. Sorry for spelling mistakes, i tend to type too fast from time to time.

What I see in Ghana is people selling some few things just to survive, so you have 10 people selling the same product (pure water e.g.) earning pennies. There is no safety net to care for them, either you work or you go to bed hungry, which affects the children the most. I dont see that as healthy.

  • @Baal1985 You are right but i'm happy that we also have someone to show the other part of Ghana/Africa than what we often seen on (for example) Danish Televisions about Africa where everything is almost about war and starving. I saw that program about "Black Business" by myself but that is just one of the few positives one hear about Africa. To the other critics. Yes Ghana is not only about Accra but we already have other countries to portrait Ghana(or African countries negatively).

  • @flotAnsah I dont disagree. Personally, if I got in charge the first word I would eradicate would be the term "development." For me that term shares so many similarities with the hybrid racial rhetoric where africans were seen as children and the white man as the mature one. An evolutionary social-darwian worldview. Today we replaced the words but the underlining structures and articulation of Africa and Africans remained and got internalized and universalized. Sorry different topic

  • the problem is not how the rich people live, the issue is the slum. This video is as biased as the videos showing Africa or Ghana as a dump, torn apart by war with starving children where ppl live in houses made of mudd. That pict is not true, all aspects most be included. Ghana got nice places as this video clearly displays but anybody visiting Circle, La Paz, smelled the River of Odaw or seen the chuked open gutters would know Ghana got both sides, both sides must not be forgotten

  • @Baal1985 then I have not even started including light-off, gas-shortage, chaotic traffic, the litter that is omnipresent everywhere and children forced to sell plainchips, pure water etc along dangerous roadsides to afford the increasing admission fees the schools demand. The Mills-administration are still far from the finish line.

  • @Baal1985 there are 100 times more homeless people in america than in ghana but do you think about that when the name america is mentioned NO. That's the power of the media. Who said all european countries are rich? we have countries in europe that Ghana is better of than. But do you think about that when the name europe is mentioned? That is the power of the media.

  • @bombsheezle Dont assume what I think, thats simply arrogant. What countries in Europe are more poor than Ghana? How do u know there are 100x more homeless ppl in the US than in Ghana? R we talkin % of the population or by number? Since Ghana got 25 mio ppl and the US got more than 300 mio sure the US got more homeless by number. I doubt Ghana knows how many/few of her population are roofless.

The names Ghana and the US bring forth many thoughts, associations and emotions. U dont know which ones

  • @Baal1985 Moldova, romania, slovakia these are all poor europian countries. with the homeless people in america, am saying many people in ghana wont believe there are homeless people in america. And is because of their media.

  • @bombsheezle Slovakia is not poor! Romania is rich enough to be member of the EU. Moldova is not rich, neither is Albania, but I did not ask you to namedrop poor countries, I ask to namedrop European countries that are poorer than Ghana. If we talk GDP, you have not done that ;) Slovakia GDP per capita just below 16,000 USD, Ghana GDP per capita 1,810 USD, Moldova 2,000 USD.

Im not from the US, and I concur many Ghanaians (Africans?) see the outside world as been better and richer than it is

  • @bombsheezle My point is, by making Europe and the US richer, better and more perfect than they (we?) are, Ghanaians make themselves poorer than they are. In this way many feel more powerless than they are. If you feel poor, you are likely to feel you are worth less and that lead to less selfrespect. If I meet a person that does not respect him/herself, that person gives me no incentive to respect that person either. To believe the outside world sees Ghana as poor is part of this selfimage

  • @bombsheezle In america the homeless people in washington alone is more than the whole of ghana and this is suppose to be the most powerful country on earth.

  • @bombsheezle Ghana knows its population ok are you serious?

  • @Baal1985 Massa cant you read? Go back and read the video heading.

  • @bombsheezle dont call me massa! I dont buy the unsaid agreement that the outside world never see the positive sides of Africa, I dont accept that silent "agreement". Ive seen images and heard positive stories of Africa. The idea tht all stories of Africa are negative is false and just foster and nuser the idea of victimization, of course too help u to feel more proud of been black, to be u! Which u shall b (listen to the song waist and power by 4x4). I disagree with the methodology

  • @bombsheezle When you tell an ordinary american you are from jamaica straight away he gives you maximum respect. Because when they watch jamaican music videos all they see is nice beaches and hotels and all but they neva see the poverty side of jamaica. But ghana is better off than jamaica. Before I came to america i really respected African americans because of the music videos. Cuz all i was seeing was all flashy things untill i came here and i saw the real deal. So you see the media plays.

  • niiceee video

i might want to visit ghana somedayy

  • Ghana is fabulous...

  • I've recently been to Ghana, and am going back in July.

I'm hoping to take a piece of Ghana home with me.

  • I REALLY WANNA GO THERE SO BAD IVE BEEN WANTING TO GO THERE SENSE I WAS LIKE THIRTEEN

  • ..Am Nigerian, and i approve of this video (even though it is Needless)

  • nice vid, hope you can do another video

  • wow, who would dislike this vid smh

  • Kofi Annan! He is the man!

  • Chale what be the song in the background?

  • Aww I miss Ghana now :)

  • @giftybumpa i know i was just being "generous" lol. i hate when they say ghana is developing ghana is developing when in we have nothing and everything is concentrated in just few areas of Accra. The entire country needs development i don't know if those greedy pot-bellied politicians realize that

  • there is no need for this. Ghana is beautiful and the media is always going to portray most African countries badly. like my teacher once said, " if it's not bad news, its not news." do u think it would make sense to put on international news that " look an African country is doing good and has amazing places" or " there are children starving and living in horrid conditions" you answer. Truthfully i've been to Ghana and your video is type bias b/c there's good parts and bad parts but you chose 1

  • @TheBrittanygirl123 Read the heading of the video. and stop saying is bias.

  • i still didnt see most of the beautiful places in ghana i knw...... GOD BLESS GHANA

  • whats the name of the second song?

  • @jayorca Sway - Black Star

  • @RuthEbonyOne Thanks. Its a really good song.

  • @jayorca you welcome :)

  • This video could have been so much better .. there's a lot in Ghana!

  • is that all...

  • Comment removed

  • @misseaglet2004 why dont u go and do a video about that and stop asking me questions

  • Waaa , kelvin me do wo paaaa <3 lol you are amazingg! thank you sooo much for making this video! but people are right we don't have to prove to anybody our country is great.. we as Ghanaians KNOW our country is awesomee, and if other people aren't aware of this because of their ignorance.. oooh well, ignorance is bliss after all. It's THEIR lost cause not ours, Ghanaians live their life surrounded by endless beauty and peace.

    I LOVE YOU GHANA <3

  • im sorry but what percentage of Ghana really looks like this .. there are children under 12 years of age begging for food on the streets, millions of people dieing from common allergies and malaria.... Yes Ghana is beautiful but showing t he nice buildings in Ghana doesn't fix anything...

  • @erwinob2002 bingo just what i mean. the video is mainly Accra which is "the most beautiful part of Ghana" and even in Accra only selected places look like that. what is there to be proud about Ghanaians can be some of the most deluded people on this earth. this is coming from a proud ghanaian. they should stop deceiving themselves selves Accra is not even in the top five t cities in Africa

  • @erwinob2002 where did it say anything about fixing anything?????

  • So proud!!!

  • its not about proof per se, we're jus showin what the external media wouldnt because when people actually cum down u hear them say stuff like: "wow, we dont see this on TV", or "didn know africans could afford such cars" or "u have range rovers in Ghana?? WOW" . they still think we live in the 1800s where everyone is fishing and faming in their backyards, now a few of us own plantations etc. the whole country cannot develop in 12 or 24 months, its a process, but we'll get there.

  • @CNichole7...how aba making a video of these places in ghana?

  • What is the name of the second track and artist?

  • @lokey987 That Sway-Blackstars.

  • @ben2840 Thanks brotha.

  • it's nice but let's be honest with ourselves majority of places in Ghana is nothing to be proud about. plus most of the places in the video are in Accra which means the rest of the country is greatly impoverished. tell the government to build the entire country because as at now Accra is the entire country of Ghana and the other regions are neglected and they are rotting as i type

  • @Atlas24gh It will happen cuz time will tell. for NOW LET BE PROUD OF WHAT WE HAVE.

  • @ben2840 Typical black African mentality..what do we have that we need to be proud of?

  • I love the first song I watch ghana movies and Iseen how beauitful Ghana is

  • YOU DON'T NEED TO PROVE THAT GHANA IS A GREAT COUNTRY.

I'm from England. I was working in Accra in 2010.

I no expert but I came to understand that the Ghanian government is quite paranoid of the way the "western media" portray Ghana.

The truth is that Ghana is seen as one of the safest, most friendly and prosperous countries in Africa. And in terms of bad publicity, Ghana gets no more bad press than parts of the UK, US, China or India.

You have nothing to prove but a lot to celebrate.

  • @TheyWillNeverBelieve I agree a lot of what you wrote here...very true :)

  • @TheyWillNeverBelieve I'm white and im from england aswell :) ghana is beutiful i wish i could go there one day

  • Thanks much my bloda Kev for this vid mang!!! Ghana needs more vids like this, we for tell the world our own story ooo

  • ugh no tema no osu? huh only the new building besides cedi house n the national theater, there were beautiful old building before this new once

  • common this is just accra how bout kumasi, cape, takorade, volta n the other region they also have stunning places

  • @ftufour thank you! they have to develop those areas too. they make it seem like Accra is the entire country of Ghana. Stupid myopic politicians

  • there is no place like HOME

  • I'm ready to go now!!! Lol :-)

  • I love Ghana. I am actually there right now. And I plan on living in Ghana in the future. The only thing I wish that could change would be the gutters

  • I love this! I don't want to be a wet blanket, but it's important to keep in mind that most of these photos are of places in ACCRA...which, although densely populated, is just a tiny piece of Ghana. I pray for all of Ghana, and not just Accra, to taste development!

  • Love, love, love the video. It's amazing!! (:

Btw, what is the name and artist of the songs used in the video?

  • @sammie430 The first song is Called Ghana @50 and the second is From Sway, UK Born Gh origin. sONNG tittled BlackStar.

  • mey3 ghana man ba! gh all day fam!

  • GOD BLESS GHANA

  • we dont need to prove that ghana is a great country but i love this video

  • @ihavenoideasmh exactly

  • @ihavenoideasmh Yes we do!! The world don't respect Africa

  • Comment removed

  • @ihavenoideasmh ghana a great country, come of that and stop smoking crack.
