Yeah I know, but there are people like that in every generation I believe. My guitar mentor told me that it was the same in the 80's... I think there people who love rock 'n roll or classic or jazz i don't know and there are people who don't care about a music style and just listen to what is cool or in charts at the moment. I don't know a lot about the "regular" guitar, the only I thing once learned how to play is come as you are :D I'm really good at the theoretical things like harmonics and so on because I used to play french horn and percussion in an orchestra for many years but at the moment I'm too busy with school to do such tutorials. =(

And "3 x lethal" is somewhat misleading, because a person's individual tolerance determines what is "lethal" to them: What kills 1 person might only get someone else buzzed. There is no universally accepted ceiling for heroin tolerance, so it's relative to the user.

Apparently, most junkies found dead w/ Cobain's blood morphine level still have the needles in their arms, which leads people to believe they died before they could remove the syringe. The coroners that viewed his body diagnosed a condition called cadaveric spasm in Kurt's left hand around the gun barrel, which gave them reason to believe Kurt was tightly squeezing the barrel when he was shot.

It means they were smeared, or smudged, and the experts couldn't compare them to anyone else's prints. There is NO proof that anyone involved in the investigation was paid off by anyone, just a lot of speculation without evidence to back it. Maybe the SPD was lazy, but I highly doubt they were bribed.

They were saying that the 3x lethal dose found in his bloodstream is a measure of the total morphine, not discriminating between the metabolised form (which is no longer having an effect) and the free form. It is the free morphine that will kill you, as it is slowing the bodies systems down and in very large doses will stop them completely (which is also why speedballing is so dangerous)

That makes your assertion merely a theory and completely unsubstantiated. To back up my view there are many recorded cases of people with simply a single lethal dose who immediately fell unconscious with needles still in their arms, many who died outright (it is called a lethal dose, remember?)

I know I can't entirely disprove the murder theory as there is some evidence that does seem to support it (like the heroin level) and I wouldn't want to but I also wouldn't argue that he must have been murdered. I think that there should be a follow up investigation as there were loads of problems in the original investigation (like no differentiation between free and metabolised heroin) which should be resolved.

When you consider the fact that the coroner pried the gun from Kurt's hand, and that the gun was transported back to the crime lab BEFORE they checked for prints, I think it's likely they themselves were to blame. He used to live in LA w/ Courtney. Instead, he flies all the way back to Seattle, without his wife or child. I think he was running from his problems, and I think he ultimately chose suicide. I think the note is a lot more than a retirement letter...

Altars can be literal places of sacrifice or worship, or the term can be used figuratively to describe sacrificing one thing for another. Why would he say something like that to his wife & child if this is just a "retirement letter"? Sounds like he's never going to see them again, IMO.

Every other analyst to have offered an opinion on it had only a PHOTOCOPY of the note to examine, and those analysts said the copy was "too poor to make a firm pronouncement". I say it's possible Kurt wrote the odd looking parts while high. No analyst has ever been able to conclusively rule Cobain out as the author.

@misslaura51 It would make more sense to me to say the SPD didn't really explore the avenue of "foul play" when they investigated Kurt's death, and were relatively hasty and didn't follow proper protocol before reaching their verdict; there is plenty of evidence to support that kind of claim. There is NO proof that anyone involved in the investigation was paid off by anyone, just a lot of speculation without evidence to back it. Maybe the SPD was lazy, but I highly doubt they were bribed.

Even of he had initially bought it for "home protection" & fully loaded it, that doesn't mean he couldn't have changed his mind after feeling rehab.

Ultimately, Kurt didn't file for divorce, when he easily could have. He made plans to work w/ Michael Stipe, but he called Stipe & canceled just before he left for Exodus. He wrote letters in his journals firing Krist&Dave, but never sent them. He agreed to go to rehab, but ran away from that, too. Sounds 2 me like he wasn't sure WHAT he was going 2 do.

@misslaura51 I don't personally see any conclusive proof of murder, just maybe some reasons to believe that the SPD was hasty or sloppy in their investigation. That's my opinion. The gun *did* have finger prints on it, the cops pulled 4 cards of latent prints off it. They were illegible. Some people think that means a "murderer" tried to wipe them off, but the cops also handled the evidence before dusting for prints. I say it's possible the cops themselves are to blame for them being smudged.

Grant said that he had checked under the couple's bed for paraphernalia before Kurt's body was found, and the only 2 notes that the SPD logged for evidence were the note written in red ink found in the greenhouse w/ Cobain's body, and the note written on Hotel Excelsior paper from Kurt's OD in Rome a month earlier, which served as a known sample of Kurt's writing.

They were saying that the 3x lethal dose found in his bloodstream is a measure of the total morphine, not discriminating between the metabolised form (which is no longer having an effect) and the free form. It is the free morphine that will kill you, as it is slowing the bodies systems down and in very large doses will stop them completely (which is also why speedballing is so dangerous)

I know I can't entirely disprove the murder theory as there is some evidence that does seem to support it (like the heroin level) and I wouldn't want to but I also wouldn't argue that he must have been murdered. I think that there should be a follow up investigation as there were loads of problems in the original investigation (like no differentiation between free and metabolised heroin) which should be resolved.
