Lock onto him and use Slow

Use freeze raid.

Slow him after the crocadile bites him

Have poison block installed and block his attacks

When he blocks,get behind him and shoot him with fire.

Cheap trick against him: Get him close to the edge so he's balanced precariously, then strike. It knocks him in the water for the croc to do some damage, then he leaps out. After that, he'll go beserk, and come swiping after you. Stand on the parts in the water so he can't hit you, then let him get to the edge. Hop in the water for a brief moment, then get out fast. He may get a chance to toss out a few bombs, but he'll end up overbalanced again. And you can knock him in again...

My strategy:Requires patience and skill(Needs Time finisher

step 1-cast mine square then wait

step 2-cast Aeroga as soon as hook gets close to the mines(He can block the Aeroga spell)

step 3-attack hook and get him near the edge

step 4-knock him in the water(get a few extra hits if needed)

step 5-jump into the waters edge then use Shotlock

step 6-avoid large present bomb

step 7- repeat all sequences until beaten

@p6mkq I danced past him in the GBA version. However here on Proud mode he kicked my ash a million times before i went into rage mode and trained at the Arena. I use it often to find good combinations for the forms (forgot the exact name ) Cant say I didnt spam going into Wingblade to beat him :P

If not for the emulator save feature I would have not beaten Hook so quickly.

In the original GBA version I took him down on my third try...with deck full of zero cards.

here is a way equip megapotion and if you push him of the field and he goes back and gets angry just use flame salvo and if he counters then dodge as fast as you can and if he touches you withan attack then push square as mutch as you can and then use counter rush keep on like that then you win

woah I managed to beat this bastard on level 23, just make sure to press the o-button in the water so you won't get hit by any bombs or the crocodile. Try to use only wide-range attacks and back off immediately if you get to close to him

Hook is not terribly hard, but you have to be smart.

Think of fencing. When he tries to attack you, block it, then counter and hopefully you have the counterattack equipped after the blocking.

Repeat the strategy and you'll be able to bring him down in no

time.

However, there's lovely benefits for you, when you manage to corner him, give him some 2 , 3 hits of normal attack and see him get his ass handed by the crocodile with a comical style. Torching him with fire attacks also stun him a bit.
