@tommyaw123 When the cars are following the pace car, they're setting their pit road speed. When there was one big pack, the cars in the back wouldn't get the speed reading as well, so they separated it to two packs with two pace cars so everybody could get it right. They then join up before the green flag.
I think all Nascars are the same aerodynamically (mostly) therefore the air going round the car in front is cleaner and less turbulent = easier, whereas F1 teams are given some regs and comes out with completely different designs, thats why there's less overtaking because some F1 cars are faster than others, they produce more turbulent air. GP2 cars are identical and there's greta racing there. F1 isn't all about overtaking, it's about showcasing both the best drivers, machines on the planet
@Joshman692 F1 is too commercialised now. I used to watch it in the earlier days of Mansell, Senna and Hill era's when the drivers did the racing and the cars were near equal but now, it seems to be the same drivers and teams winning and its just boring. At least in NASCAR the winners are alway's different 9 tmes out of 10, except if your name is Jimmy Johnson lol, but I'd watch NASCAR and IndyCar over F1 anyday. Sorry but thats just me ;)

I've watched/listened to all the way down to 43 laps ... because of all the problems last year and the length, I couldn't remember who won. It just went on and on forever. Well, I JUST NOW looked at the 'description' of this race - HA! - and saw you posted who won. Doh! (I could've Googled but that would have ruined the suspense all over.)

@tommyaw123 When the cars are following the pace car, they're setting their pit road speed. When there was one big pack, the cars in the back wouldn't get the speed reading as well, so they separated it to two packs with two pace cars so everybody could get it right. They then join up before the green flag.

I think all Nascars are the same aerodynamically (mostly) therefore the air going round the car in front is cleaner and less turbulent = easier, whereas F1 teams are given some regs and comes out with completely different designs, thats why there's less overtaking because some F1 cars are faster than others, they produce more turbulent air. GP2 cars are identical and there's greta racing there. F1 isn't all about overtaking, it's about showcasing both the best drivers, machines on the planet

@Joshman692 F1 is too commercialised now. I used to watch it in the earlier days of Mansell, Senna and Hill era's when the drivers did the racing and the cars were near equal but now, it seems to be the same drivers and teams winning and its just boring. At least in NASCAR the winners are alway's different 9 tmes out of 10, except if your name is Jimmy Johnson lol, but I'd watch NASCAR and IndyCar over F1 anyday. Sorry but thats just me ;)

@SeptemberFury Fair point F1 had better racing in the Senna, Hill eras & F1 is very commercialized, F1's a business. I don't know what the commentary is like on SPEED, in terms of advertising, but i don't like the commentators constantly plugging products (obviously its to pay for the coverage) but i'm not a fan of that watching NASCAR on the TV

@majinsha1 There were more passes in a 75 lap NASCAR shootout/heat race, than in 15 F1 races. F1 is the most unexciting motorsport on the planet.

I've watched/listened to all the way down to 43 laps ... because of all the problems last year and the length, I couldn't remember who won. It just went on and on forever. Well, I JUST NOW looked at the 'description' of this race - HA! - and saw you posted who won. Doh! (I could've Googled but that would have ruined the suspense all over.)
But this is awesome to have up on here and hope it stays. Can't WAIT for a few weeks to pass. (and 6-4-6-4-48 would be fine me !!!!!)
