Superficially Chongqing looks great but the city is spread out and there are older parts of it that are really, really decrepit and basically are slums.
wow look at all these buildings that were built in 10 years! i bet 80 % of those buildings are vacant. the chinese build cities from nothing and expect it to work. well they need to realize that you cant just build a city over night. a city evolves into its grandeure over time. you WISH you were chicago.!
Let the west and the jap despise us, but we know that we will be the superpower of the future like during Han and tang dynasty eras. we all know that we are better civilisation than the rest of the world. the proof is our 6000 years history like the egyptian, but that civilisation dead lost cause of backward belief. so this is China time whether you like it or not, watch!
worlds most populated city included suburbs and citys that been grown in to eachother, over 30million people. its also one of the most polluted cities in the world. the also use thier rivers as sewage from the whole city.
Rivers as sewage? That's 10, 20 years ago, not now. Now China and Chinese people have realized the price of pollution and put in big money for environmental protection. Keep your eyes open and you will see big improvement on environment protection in China.
Nobody would imagine how China looks now dacades ago. Come back after ten years, you'll definitely see even more miracles on that land~
how about human right huh ? i don't care of the economy can most of the people go on youtube there now ? i don't think so , how about facebook ? no as well. do you know why ? do you know what is 64 ? maybe you just know nintendo 64 lol can you talk about the massacre in beijing's tiananmen square there ? no you can't . i am still waiting , which president in china is going to admit the event , who will be the hero.
aaaaaq27: Just shut the fuck up! If the government don't have a good economy and make changes on the lives of the people~ what's the point of making a change in human rights! On thing at a time FOOL! Just imagine if you don't have enough money to support your young and family, no job.. no career, and no future.. let's see if you have the fucking spare time to discuss about human rights here on UTUBE. Just fuck off and enjoy the video asshole!
@aaaaaq27, if 64 can be considered a massacre, then every thing could be considered a massacre. 64 is famous not because of the amount of people died in the clashes, but because that although it was ill-organized, it was very very close to success. At the time of 64, the poli-bureau of CCP consist of 9 member, of whom 4 voted for the student's demend, and 4 voted against it, and 1 abstained.
@jimmyjamesWang, and the newer politicians of the CCP (like the fucker Li Peng), took the oppertunity to gain power in the party by taking the initiative to advocate for the clashdown on the student, while the big potato of the military (here I mean Deng Xiaoping) silently supported it. This is inevitable because the CCP is corrupt and aristocratic, and members in it gain power not by the merit of their ability but by connections.
@aaaaaq27, and for all of these, your pathetic "human rights" ideology has no way of fixing. Bureaucracy and lack of effective law enforcement is the real problem of China, only democracy can fix it. But even with democracy it will take decades of honest work and reform in education, the legal system to truely get rid of bureaucracy. And a true democracy requires a healthy and strong middle class. Shallow fools like you only scratch the surface of the problem but saying those useless shit.
chongqing is far larger than chicago i have been to both flying into both citys, from an aircraft view chicago looks like about 3-=4 city blocks of chongqing
If the middle of China is this developed, then there is a very bright future for the country which is great. I'm looking forward to visting Shanghai one day.
all that chong qing needs are some sky scrapers... i bet they will get some... chinese cities are the most advanced, newest, and most populous... and in china... unlike newyork crimes and murders in cities are not a problem...
The raw sewage produced by 30 million people in this city is dumped straight into the Yangtze River... There are 30 million people in California, and in this one Chinese city. China has a lot of polluted cities. China has supposedly been trying to clean up its air pollution for the Olympics this summer. It's so bad that The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimated that a quarter of Los Angeles' particulate pollution blows over from China when the wind conditions are just wrong
how about you learn chinese... 1.3 billion and more use the language... including malaysia, indonesia, taiwan (china), etc... and plus the whole world is going to learn chinese... b/c china is on the verge of becoming the world superpower
Well, go there and see the colour of the river by YOUR OWN EYES. This is just a video showing you chongqing. Actually I think the colour varies sometimes.
there is no common between Chongqing and Las Vegas, man......
Chongqing is built on mountains, rivers and forest......so there are so many concrete buildings.......Las Vegas is built on desert, and it's famouse for its gambling.....
chongqing looks grand!!! the mountains made the buildings look even taller. and thanks to the hills, no one ride bicycles like typical chinese city there!! lol. and that shopping district looks better than downtown new york!
Science-fiction-style. Typically chinese, but I never saw it on such a big scale. this kind of infrastructure and architecture on mountain terrain looks really interesting.
This is proof that economic freedom is making the Chinese people richer. The government must liberalize more to make China the top economy in the world.
I agree wholeheartedly. Look at how much prosperity has come to China since it embraced more free-market principles. It will only get better if the Chinese keep along this path.
My hats off to those Chinese working their ass off to achieve today's economy sucess. News report that China's southern province Guangdong province's GDP has exceed Chinese Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong and is almost equal to South Korea. One province compared to one South Eastern economy tiger! It is like a United States of China emerging from east.
i live here in china, dont have too much lasting faith for this economy. they are starting a very very slow withdrawl for the world (i cant export silicon or fiberglass products any more for example, wtf?) also food went up 20% here. some meat went up 100%, its getting expensive to fucking live here, food is cheaper back in the sates. if you want to know more, any one who reads this send me a personal messeage or subscribe to me (will post vid and pics of china)
The inflation rate is still moderate...I hope the monetory police will work, but there is a time gap, so just wait. The surging price is because excessive liquidity, it is a world wide problem, and because we keep on using low interest rate to stimulate the economy, this problem is extremely serious in China...However, it can be solved by wise monetary policy and Yuan's exchange rate revaluation
according to CCTV its a moderate rate, but then again that station is owned by the goverment. remembered, up to 2 weeks ago i lived there and i saw food prices go up 100%. even if nothing else goes up, food going up is a serious problem. now im in the USA and prices have barely increased (by a matter of cents)
Now I am in TianJin, prices is surging also, but I think that is not out of control. I am not watching CCTV, I have made some research on that because I am major in that region....I think it maybe a harsh time for everybody, but there is little possibilities that it will turn into a hyper-inflation---only if Government won't do something stupid.
It is pity that now you are in foreign country. You should really see what happened in the stock market. It seems that everyone is crazy, even the most negative signal can not shock the price, It is not a good sign, I hope everyone calm down. It will become the turning point if we do not control the crazy boom
if the boom isnt controled, china will have a great depression like the US did. in the 1920s we had an crazy boom too and then it crashed simply cause it was out of control, and then that began the great depression which affected the world in the 1930s. i hope that doesnt happen not for china's sake, but rather the civilized world's sake.
The depression in the US was caused by the creation of the Fed, and then was prolonged by tariffs and economic protectionism. Booms are good. Prosperity does not cause depressions.
There is no such thing as a "wise" monetary policy that is enacted by a government. The Chinese government needs to get out of the banking system and let the Chinese people be free to use gold!
