@Mr3wheeledbike Its one off a pocket bike, I Went the redneck route the first time I did it. I had a universal fuel pump from farm and fleet 15$ and a cheap 12v rc car battery for the circulating pump. It requires way less fabrication and works just as well, but your are limited to how long your battery lasts.
Lol... all you fanboys are forgetting the parasitic HP leeching the waterpump has on the engine, plus all the extra maintenance. Still a cool idea though.
My only question is how you get the water jacket to seal to a finned cylinder and not leak. Besides that i'd be conerned about the engine not running hot enough. You want to hit a certain temperature threshold for the engine to run its best.
dude thats sweet. I have two gopeds with a ton of mods myself. Its fun just to work on and modify them. You obvisouly did a lot of tinkering on yours, what kind of blet and water pump is that and did you machine that pully to drive it or what? also is that an automotive oil cooler for a radiator?? it dosnt really make a whole lotta sense but aleast you can say you have a true water cooled goped!!
@superman53144 i mean by that i mean does the water really cool the motor down? does the water cool enough in the radiator to even do something? or does it just stay basically the same temp. can you prove that, that water cooler helps to cool the motor, not just look badass.
i think its awesome i have a raw goped spindle drive aircooled and whynot why why why why why not dont be jealous assholes just cuz he has something u dont

@superman53144 you did an awesome job :). i mist admit. my g2d engine. is usd in 1/5th scale rc so hell i may give this a go. maybe use both h20 and air at same time

My point is simple. GPS it, post a video. Don't talk shit to others about speeds you THINK it's gonna hit, and have nothing to back yourself up. I don't GIVE a shit if he's studying mechanical engineering. I really don't. Go buy a GPS, and prove me wrong. Until then, those speed claims are pretty BS'd.

I was hinting on a lightened flywheel, because the one on there now I can see has all the air cooling fins, now that it's liquid cooled you can cut off all of then down to the wheel on both sides and lighten the flywheel by a 1/3 ...less rotating weight mean more acceleration and top speed!
TheNoisePolluter 2 years ago
yea, for me id rather keep the fins on just so it runs a little cooler,
cuz with 120lb rider, and 20lb goped. it wont be much of a diff to take like 1/4lb off of the flywheel.
i do have a lightened flywheel though :)
FuzzyMealChosenOne 2 years ago
No seriously, in his sitsuation, he put bigger barbs on the jacket with bigger lines, and seeing how its cool, enough to touch, he doesn't need the cooling fins for "extra" cooling, it's not going to even do anything noticeable, ...if your engine runs at too cold of a temp, you'll loose performance and liquid cooled motors that have advanced cooling liek in the video do not need the cooling fins on the flywheel, they're pointless...
