Han is the name for ethinicity, like Caucasian, which does not link to any religion. Also, there has never been a religion that the majority of Han people believe in. We sometimes use prayers such as "my god" but more as a remnant of Dao religion and folk superstitions(ghost). Buddhism is not really a populist religion as it requires you to be a monk necessarily. There is also a folk version of Buddhism though, but that is a long story. You can check it up yourself. Communist China is atheist.
