i had a 09 wrangler x 6 speed on 35s, i sold it because the engine is so fucking weak. I mean that thing was dangerously slow, it took like 17 seconds to hit 60 redlining it every gear
@muellerpk 35's on an X with 3.21 gears is half the reason you are slow... i agree though, they are slow.. but put different gears in and you will notice a dramatic difference off the line
I love watching these things wheel with stock SRAs and 16" wheels, not only because that's what I'm running on mine, but how well they do with the worst of equipment.
I've owned a couple Jeeps in my day ('92 Renegade. '99 Cherokee Limited, 2002 Wrangler Rubicon), and I currently own a '79 CJ7 Golden Eagler, and a 2004 Wrangler Unlimited. I've always been satisfied with Jeep products until I purchased a 2008 Wrangler Rubicon... What the hell happened to Jeep?? That 3.8 is sluggish, to say the least, and almost every panel on the damn thing was plastic! The only Jeep I've ever returned. Sadly, it looks like Jeep is moving in a bad direction.
Hi! What a video! Great! Can you send me information on how to disconnect the sway bar. Is it easy? Can I do it off road? Is it easy to reattach after? Any help would be great. Thanks Dan.
@fattygio yeahy dude my dads jeep (in 13) had jeep wheels not like yours he kept thos put a 2 inch lift and 35 inch tires, there are called nitto trail grapplers its dope!!
as rightfully deserved, a lot crawler just got half of what he rightfully deserved. only thing to top it off is for him to take his "sportage" out to hale creek and top this (not doable, and ill bet 48 beers on it too)
Fattyqio or anyone else that got a jeep, Seriously thinking about buying the new wrangler x and i was just wondering whats your overall take on them regards to everyday driving and fuel consumption and well i can see there the real deal offroading! Drop me a line.
I bought a 2-door '08 JK just before Thanksgiving and it's been better than expected on fuel consumption. Right now, I'm averaging slightly over 20 MPG (although I'd say about 70% of my driving is over 40 MPH). Add some mods like a cold air intake (and throttle body spacer perhaps) and you're almost guaranteed to do over 20 MPG.
Ha ha ha, a Kia?? C'mon man you gotta be joking! If a an '07 JK struggled with Hale that Kia would be nothing but sobs and crying by the time you got halfway through. Bring a tow truck with a dolly to get it home after some Unimog drags your broken carcass outta there LOL. Has to be a Joke ... seriously.
@gopedmaniac1 lol sportages arnt ment to touch wranglers, sportages are only good for driving around in the winter after a snowfall, or say you have a small flood, it could probley get you around, wranglers are more for heavy shit lol, wranglers are amazingg
@gopedmaniac1 yeah?...tell me how they do when you snap a cv axleshaft and have to have a towtruck drive to where you were "wheelin"...ive snapped axles and driveshafts in my jeep and it still got me home
@gopedmaniac1 you must be kidding ha ha! ya and the might make it the first time around... try over and over and over and really push the vehicle to its limits such as MOAB... yeah try that in your KIA ((JAPSCRAP ANYONE))
Its always harder than it looks. the camera makes everything seem level and 2d. Wait till its your Jeep and your depending on that as your ride home. Its a FUN sport though... =(O|||||||O)=
Now that is real 4-wheeling. I must be harder than it looks due to the camera. I love how people criticize these films after watching this low resolution film. I would love to see half the pavement pounders in my town and the hummers do that. Real four wheeling is taking stock vehicles or almost stock to remote locations while still able to do 75mph. Big lifted trucks are just for show or crawling over that big rock that you can go around. I love jeeps even though I drive Toyota.
you can have fun doin rock crawling without lockers and the gear ratio i bet is 3.07:1 on the X thats not good for serious offroad but they are still better that most of the trucks and suvs
HEY!! Loved the Vid. I recently bought an 07 X (2 days ago). I was searching for what my capabilities are on the web for 2 days. I'm glad I saw this vid. I wont be doin 25% of the stuff you did on this vid, but it gives me a peace of mind to know what it is capable of. Now this is completely stock, but did you get the Dana 45 Axles or any sort of upgrades from the Dealer? I bought mine completely bottom of the line.
very nice capabilities for a stock, made me feel good about my stock JK :)
