MY all time favorite show !! But the biggest mistake they made, was not putting more Billy Idol songs in the series and Him personal to play in it. Found this clip a while back, because I was searching to see if I was so lucky That Billy Apared in Miami Vice.

In this episode they used a combination of the Pantera and the Real TestaRossa. You can tell by the wheels. The Real TestaRossa has those beautiful chrome stars with the stallion ing the center where the Pantera has the Deep welled rims and appear black because they are so deep in. Just pay attention to the rims and wheels. Still! I'd own either one! Both are wicked machines! Too bad the Hemi Cuda rolled, damn things in prime condistion can go for over $100k now and the Vette ehh.. I like them..

Regarding the stunt Testarossa - You can see it at 1:50 - it doesn't have a license plate and the rims are chrome deep dish instead of alloy silver flush like the real Testarossa. The stunt car was built from a DeTomaso Pantera with a 351 Ford engine.

Ok there was One Ferrari Testarossa kit that was on a De Tomaso Pantera Chasis then there was the Real Testarossa for close up shots. I know this Because I have the Popular science article still in my filing cabinet.. As for the Daytona Spyder It was a Vette Chasis If you look carefully at the wheels of the Fake ferrari vs the real one you will see the difference. also the fake one has a blackened rear bumper..

but the 365 daytona in earlier seasons was a corvette!!!

Most ''365 daytona's'' in sweden in those days were the same fake one as in MV.

Enzo Ferrari himself got frustrated that they used a fake one in the show so he gave them 2 REAL Ferrari Testarossas.

They also made a stunt model of it with a DeTomaso Pantera but it was only used a few times... Jesus... Look like I made my homework!!! :)

@fucksocialservices your exactly right the daytona spider was a chevy corvette kit car and the white teserossa was the real deal and they gave it to don johnson as a gift when the show was over...i didnt know enzo got pissed so he gave them two now thats new and I thought I knew it all

@GTAgamesfans the blew up the Daytona cause enzo ferrari found out it wasn't a real 365 GTB 4cam daytona. it had a corvette chassi, but everything else was Ferrari . so Enzo was going to sue NBC cause of that, so they blew up the Daytona, then Enzo gave them 2 of the brand new tesstarossas they used in the tv show. straight from the factory all american specs. that is the story on how the Tesstarossa came to be on the show

BUT!!! The Testarossa has a big downside. Have you seen or read a review of it??? Well I can tell you the Testarossas handling is so lousy that many ppl choose another car instead of the Testarossa. It was as many times been said way to difficult to stear whatever speed you were in. The muscles in this clip got better handling and therefore could in reality have a very good chance in curvy road sections!!!
