Very unfortunately, this tune was shamelessly lifted by Bappi Lahiri from a film called Gori (which was produced before Aaj ka Arjun but released much later in 1991). The original tune was composed by Shankar of Shankar Jaikishan and the title of the original song was also Gori hain kalaiyan(sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy)! When Aaj ka Arjun was realeased, Shankar had passed away and hence Bappi Lahiri almost got over his plagiarism.
