  • Things are never as bad as they seem. :-)

  • This is so much better than the crap we hear today...

  • Just the first line of this song makes me swoon.

  • Does anyone know if the back up singers are the Modernaires?

  • OMG *-* <3

  • early Frank Sinatra! awesome!

  • That was great old blue eyes.....!

  • Is this an alternative take?

    Chau,

    Silvia.-

  • they seldom played this kind of music.what we are hearing are a bunch of craps.thanks for posting.nice to drive your old mint caddy'66 red convertible with this music my car's radio.so relaxing.

  • Wow! These folks weren't fooling around when they arranged this tune.

  • i like the original better

  • bella melodia desde argentina

  • :3 i like this one almost as much as the original

  • It's Fallout 3's fault

  • who dislikes this?

  • This reminds me of cinderella...

Well a lot of songs from this period.

  • @OzzyManDeus1991 If I'm not mistaken, all of the aforementioned things are present today as well. Let's see: 1940s had war, poverty, gang violence, good music, and class. Post-2000 has war, poverty, gang violence, terrible music, and NO class. Yeah......I'll go with the 40s on that one.

  • @OzzyManDeus1991 Well, the fifties were racist. VERY VERY racist, sexist and heterosexual. You'd only want to be a white male that's straight and strong if you live in the fifties. It's not my opinion, it's the collective.

  • Didn't Charlie Chaplin write the lyrics to "Dream"?

  • @Grampyland i believe it was johnny mercer

  • @nightsurfer3 Finally a person who types with the same amount of intelligence of which they would speak.

Also, this song is amazing, the music of this period always makes me think I was born in the wrong time period.

  • @MisoAmazingness Well, if you're a white male that's straight and strong, then yeah. Music is a cycle. This will come into popularity again in a few decades..

  • Thank you for this. I've been listening to 'Ol Blue Eyes for more than 55 years and never heard his version before today. Beautiful harmonies.

  • this sucks the other one is good

  • @Freshy15babii You must be joking. Did you hear that intro? It is the musical embodiment of the 1940s and all of its slendor.

  • @Freshy15babii Your command of the English languish is remarkable. I cannot wait for your next utterance.

  • @Freshy15babii the version from "Nice n Easy" is the best one

  • Волшебный голос.....

  • i just love big bands the are amazing, to bad they dont have them that much anymore. i would truely love to see the rat pack preform, or at least one of them

  • I manage a good dance band and this is our closing number at every dance. We have a female vocalist who sings it, Beautiful song. A lot of cuddling goes on.

  • I used to sing this song to my two boys as they lay in bed almost every night. When I got to the "Things never are as bad as they seem" part, I'd lean in and sing really quietly. Like clockwork, their eyes would slowly close. They are seven and nine now, and still remember this song. I know they always will.

  • OMG!!

    I love this song :))

    Classic

  • muito bom linda essa musica *_*

  • I loved this song from the movie,"Daddy Long Legs". Have never paid much attention to Sinatra ,but this is fantastic.Maybe I should start listening to more of his stuff.

  • According to poster Lovermatic the backing group is Ken Lane singers. Sinatra did extensively work with Pied Pipers and they had an early monster hit with "I'll Never Smile Again", which included Jo Stafford as one of the original Pied Pipers. Thanks. Gere.

  • Sing that!!! f&%£$ gary barlow.

  • I wish music like this was still made...but now its just pop and everything sounds the same. Im only sixteen but I kmow what good music is and this is definitely it! I love all of these old songs because everything was so much more melodic and easier and I just love frank sanatra!!

  • Now, he does sing this one nice and smooth; he is almost sensual with its performance.

  • Music like this take me back to my early childhood when life was sooo easy and simple. Makes me sit here and "dream" of those days. If I could just spend one day again back in 1955 with my parents and brothers and sisters.......

  • lets see jb do that

  • Would you kindly?

  • I just love this song. My dad played in a big band in the 40's and this was their closing selection.

  • No one could sell a song like Sinatra

  • Stunning voice..thank you for sharing this :)

  • He had such an angelic voice!

  • thank god for frank sinatra.

  • Wow!

  • If you like this song I recommend the version by the pied pipers (which is the better one in my opinion - partly because it gave the Bioshock 2 teaser trailer the PERFECT mood)

  • @MartinGro131 agreed!

  • @poomplexsoljah Way to diss a compliment asshole

  • @212trooper How was that comment a compliment??

  • @poomplexsoljah Honestly idk and I dont think it was me that made that stupid comment. I was busy studying with some friends for our biology exam and quizzes. Maybe it was one of them. Anyways, sorry about that comment.

  • @MartinGro131

But, isn't that the Pied Pipers backing him on this? I'm pretty sure it is.

  • @MartinGro131 Also, the way it's sung makes it sound way more dreamy like the feeling of being tranquilized or walking on air as if your body is made of helium.

  • A piece of heaven

  • @aperfectfailyour dude doesnt matter franky is just beast. haha

  • im not sure why this is, but i dont think there is anything better then listening to frank while cleaning the house and im a 24/M/CA straighter then cupids arrow.

  • i like frank sinatra but i dont like the first 15 seconds or so of this song sound like something out of a sound of music....

  • I'm not even a great Sinatra fan, but this is a great song and a great recording of it.
