Will this unroot process, removes or uninstalls ClockworkMod as well? I just can't find any instructions on how to bring my Epic Touch 4G to complete stock, in case I need to take it to Sprint for service. Any help with be appreciated.

My phone may have gotten damaged somehow, no efforts to detect it with ODIN works

drivers are installed, i've tried two different cables, and multiple usb ports.

yea I've tried more then one, my next step is to do a jtag unbrick for 50$ android recovery is damaged and doesnt function correctly.

I think that's why the phone isnt properly recognized, the firmware is corrupt.

@qbking77 I'm not a sprint customer, actually my current phone is on the verizon network. so they wont take it unless I have an account.

but i'm shipping it to samsung tommorow and see if they can reflash it first. They agreed to do it, as long as it doesnt show signs of being rooted. otherwise they ship it back for free.

@qbking77 it goes into download mode yes... but otherwise the phone doesnt do anything. Firmware and stock recovery definitely got messed up from a bad flash job.

shouldnt happen from an engineering stand point, the firmware should be isolated from a potentially bad flash but. what can i say :0)

@qbking77 I know but, like i said earlier it simply will not detect via usb... all attempts have been stiffled I've tried about 3 computers now. :/

but honestly i got this phone in present condition for 100$ no contract. its only a few weeks old :D. so if I can restore for under 50 then its been a great success. im going to let samsung tech try to repair it first its shipping out this morning.

@dothedamnthang2 its finding the right usb wire than it will be detected. any other usb wire won't work it has to be the skinny samsung usb wire

My E4GT is stuck at the boot screen after rooting, flash of clockwork, and flash of Noname rom (I didnt do the format). I can get to download mode but not recovery. Can I do this to get the phone booting again? I used the new method to get root and flash CWM. Thanks for all the great vids!

I am unable to download the Stock-EG30.tar. It get to 56% and it stops. I have restarted my modem, computer, etc. I get the same results. It stops at 56%. I have tried downloading 7 or 8 times. Is there a mirror site? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used the Zedomax kernel then the kernel in this video and a loss of signal problem persisted. So I tried the stock recovery mode and it worked, but I'm still rooted! How can I completely unroot so I can return the phone?

i've rooted my samsung Epic 4g Touch (Sprint Galaxy s 2)

i use ZedoMax kernel v.3

i flashed Starburst v 1.4 and didn't back up my original rom

i try to unroot and flashing stock rom but it didn't work

now my phone doesn't have any radio, i cant even make a phone call, it keeps staying at airplane mode

i have all these weird Samsung Hubs that i never seen before, like extra ones

my SD card doesnt have the update file anymore

please help!!!

if you shut off your phone... and press and hold the volume up and power button at the same time and KEEP holding it until you get ot a blue screen... tell me what it says

HEYYY so it looks like you sir, were the one to come through for me when no one else could.. My friend flashed some horrible kernel on my phone, and everytime i turned the thing on it took me to the system recovery screen. i am in your debt. but i HAVE SOME QUESTIONS.

i didnt go completely back to stock because i wanted to keep my data.. im wondering if there is any danger in that...??

Hey @qbking77, I rooted back and noticed that my battery life is horrible (way worse than it ever was). I didn't update the PRL, profile or reboot again (to add the other samsung apps) until just now. I though I'd check to see if there's anything else I'm missing that might be causing this. Thanks!

@eozdalga Could be a rogue app.... check and make sure apps arent unnecessarily running in the background.

@qbking77 so I finally fixed the issue. Just wanted to update you in case anyone else has this problem. Basically, I googled to find the answer since this started and read a lot about this "android OS bug" that causes battery drain but there was no real solution. All I did was this:

1) Took about the SD card (as you recommended in the video but I didn't do!)

2) Re-odined the PIT file in this video

3) Immediately did a factory reset (did it 3x)

4) Also wiped cache

5) Installed EVERYTHING from the start

Done!!! Battery life actually even better than I've ever had it! (lasting approx 18-19 hrs on full charge!). Hope this lasts!
