could you please tell me how you made that wooden ramp, and also how you managed protecting the bumper from impact scratches as the machine enters the vehicle
They are just ordinary wooden planks, nothing special. If you look closely you will see the wooden planks sit on another piece of wood that sits on the step and not the plastic bumper. The crawler tracks don't come into contact with the plastic bumper at all.. Would be bad news if they did. :-) Thanks for the Q
No it didn't move at all, It was well tied down and I drive much more careful when Im carrying items such as this. At a guess I would say it weighed in at a good 600kg possibly a bit more?? judging by the way the van felt.

Its special because its a 1950 vintage crawler tractor, not so many around these days.
Was a replacement for horse drawn farm equipment such as Ploughs...
