Roll isnt Rocks sister. She is his companion. Light built Rock and Roll together so they wouldnt go rogue like Blues(protoman) did. In most of the series she developes a crush on him since they are meant to be a pair.

.EXE is an alternate universe, where the characters are programs instead of robots. From what I've seen, they only use the names and similar character designs, but otherwise the series has nothing to do with the Megaman franchise.

Roll has always been Rock's sister.

Well, they were made around roughly the same time, but in Dr. Light's catalog of his robots, Mega Man is number 1, while Roll is number 2 (with Cut Man as 3, Guts Man as 4, and so on). So, I guess that might make Roll Mega Man's LITTLE sister (but not by much).

(And if you're wondering, Proto Man would be their BIG brother; he's number 0.)

It's because Capcom changed a lot of names when they brought the games to the US.

Rockman was Megaman's original name, just like Bass was Forte and Treble was Gospel and Protoman was Blues.

treble name is treble not gospel in megaman battle network gospel is old form of forte

Battle Network uses the names and the characters look similar, but they're really not the same.

I'm not sure what you mean about Gospel being the old form of Forte.

Forte is Bass's Japanese name, and Gospel is Treble's.
