  • He looks like The Cowardly Lion

  • 28 "dislikes" are waiting for their pubes to come in...and really have no idea what's going on...they need to be watching some old Buddy Holly or Chuck Berry or maybe Bill Haley...they're just not ready yet..."they know NOT what they do"...

  • @randomjohnsonjr "waiting for their pubes to come in"...ahhhh priceless, i love it:) lol Way to go Mr Randomjohnsonjr

  • Their voices are great when they sing that Everly Brothers tune Gone Gone Gone.

  • Time only moves in one direction, folks... FORWARD. It ain't never gonna be 1955, 1967, 1970 or 1990 again. Be happy that the heroes from the old days are doing new, different stuff. Out here in Vegas, we got truckloads of artists who just re-hash all their hits from the 50's,60's etc. They're frozen in time, Mr. Plant is not. He is still willing to take risks, and will probably keep going for a long time. Embrace his willingness to continually test his creativity. This is great music!

  • What a team.

  • It doesn't work!!!

  • Get a life, you know its crap!

  • Led zeppelin 4 life!

  • THE BLUES.

  • Can hear the roots of rocks here.

  • I didn't like this collaboration at all. Glad it's all over.

  • @Daveycrocket16 Well, do you like that kind of music anyways?

  • @KedViper I like Kraus rather than Plant.

  • @Daveycrocket16 You like Alison, I like Alison. But You Missed the F.... Point, Clown. Alison herself tells Dunces like you about the incredible result of their Collaberation, if you Truly care about Alison, LISTEN to Her Words, IDIOT.

  • conniebragg55 you hypocrite, you just knocked fat people and small penis men, and you make yourself higher than idiots and you wicked tounge, which you obviously cannot steer, makes you worse than anyone you ridicule!! Have you got a mirror?

  • but I do like "gone, gone, gone"

  • Alison looks rather bored in this ummm interview to, apparently, ramp-up Robert's ego and confidence. They can sound good together, but Alison is still in her prime - she certainly doesn't need this project to "jump-start" her career as it does to serve Plant with something to do.

  • Allison Krause

  • Robert is genious

  • I love how its like " A LEGEND OF ROCK"

then its followed by "an Icon of Bluegrass"

No disrespect to Alison, I think she's amazing an indeed an Icon.

But that title "LEGEND OF ROCK"...there is no follow-up to that hahah

  • Unquestionably Robert's best post-Zep work. He understands and completely accepts his voice has changed from the Apocalyptic, head-splitting magnificence of Zeppelin in the 70's, to a more mellow, soulful, and gentler style of an older middle-aged man. He still undoubtedly has the feel and emotion he had with Zep just not the power anymore, but he accepts this and this is why Bluegrass suits him, plus Alison Krauss's voice fits his perfectly, an absolutely perfect and beautiful record:-)))))))

  • I wonder if plant got it in?

  • Are they romantically involved?

  • @ShUrkaSl

I sincerely doubt that. And it would be a little odd too, she is three years younger than Carmen, his daughter.

  • she's so damn good lookin! I hope it was more than "professional" interaction goin on!

  • gurl makes him look 90!

  • O.k. This confirmed it I DON'T GET OUT MUCH WOW not sure if it just my memory or I am truly just discovering this? Have been a rock n roller my whole and a fan of allison's since I first heard them play so this is like i am 13 again just found tickets to a zep concert or something . brings a whole new flavor to pickin n grinnin. Listening to both versions with my daughter so she can see what GROWING is all about. These songs in Nashville are now favs thanks Rick In Wichita Ks.

  • I'm glad Allison got her teeth fixed. Her early videos are a little frightening.

  • watch, dont fish and drive!

  • Ukulele Alert

That looks like a baritone uke Robert has in the B&W picture.

    Any body have details.

  • It was a mistake.

  • This album was a gift.........to music.

  • Maybe I'm old fashioned and silly, but I don't like long hair on older men. They look much more attractive when they cut it short. Robert would look so much more handsome if he would cut his hair short (at least above his shoulders).

  • @theart1rm Robert's hair is above his shoulders. We don't want him to look like a corporate CEO. The lion mane suits his careerlong persona.

  • Sweet lil Allison from the hills has done got tied up wit da devil himself muaahahahahha ROCK~N~FREAKIN~ROLL FOREVER BABY!!!!!

  • Allison is like a fine wine...better with age mmm and he might b hittin it but only wit da lil blue pill baahahahaha

  • Allison is like a fine wine....just gettin better with age :)

  • gig done

  • @aschneider40205- don't know why anyone would make that sort of comment. Do you have any proof to back it up or is it because he's singing with a younger woman? If it's because she's younger then you are obviously jealous because you are a dickless jerk. Which is it?

  • @1thaleb to think aschneider40205 used to kiss it's mother with a mouth like that! I don't understand the reasoning behind allowing such foul mouhs to post

  • @conniebragg55 totally agree with your comment. The main obstacle for Youtube will be the employment of thousands of "censors" to fight the likes of this idiot Aschneider40205. He is obviously one of life's many failures. He is an anti-american, probably a brit. He is probably a very overweight small-dicked individual whose compensation is his mouth which i personally dont think he used to kiss his mother's mouth but to service the many males in his local glory hole in Blackburn. Ignore the twat

  • @aschneider40205 oh and you cant spell either. Definitely an IQ of 63. fucking yank

  • @aschneider40205 A libelous and absurdly impertinent comment -- Allison is now nearly 40 years old, and you don't know what their relationship is.

  • this is great stuff, most of the posts here are ignorance in dumberland though

  • so i see Robert's pants are a lil looser now-a-days.. ;)

  • Robert couldn't get it up for her.

  • Brilliant album.

  • enjoyed this. its cool

  • Raising Shit......

  • @Alhambrattp tard

  • never would have seen this --Plant and Krauss -yet never saw Clapton and who ever she is ,,I could see Krauss and Jimmy Page -now they could play something very interesting .Music takes the place of the monkey need for sex ...

  • This sound is nothing new. It's almost like The 13th floor elevators..Give em an electric jug & you've got The elevators..which is a good sound..BUT ..WE've Already got the elevators.T-bone.. Stick 2 ur soundtracks & Krauss n plant r played out already. It's majorly boreing to listen to.Hope whatever plant does next is good.Listen to krauss the way she talks about plant..Sounds like she's begging!

  • dude!! he would be the luckiest person ever! if he was nailing her!!

  • @vollyball247 duh....of course he's nailing that.

  • Alison Krauss Isint Only Raising Sand

  • excellent fusion of 2 types of musicians...BOUGHT THE ALBUM...

  • Ever heard of respect for music?

  • @bkbniteowl Thanks for your comment! I totally agree with you. The rude people that commented are just negative people. If they don't like... why comment? They are simply the type to go from one video to another being negative. Alison has a very beautiful and unique voice.

  • either he did, or someone else told him, listen, your robert plant, there gonna love you , no matter what. but gettin together with this zombie twat is and had to be brutal for him, it kills my ears. and eyes, lookin and listeing to them, it is brutal, id rather listen to 2 cats screwin.

  • This is a crappy video..

  • The harmony is just mind blowing. I just never saw Robert Plant singing with someone , but it works

  • Alison Krauss...the real reason why you will never see a Led Zeppelin reunion.

  • I cant get this song outta my mind. They sound good together.. Never did I dream, but it works

  • Whooda thought???? Love them!

  • Isn't he gay?

  • I like it,,, but Robert Plant will always be lead singer of led Zepplin. I am happy he is still singing though.

  • @cheyenne86 youre right cheyenne86 he will always be the leadsinger of LZ no matter what happens

  • These two sound really great... it aint led zepplin but it works

  • robert plant is always fun to listen too

  • When are they coming out with their second c.d.? After their first c.d. they said that they were gonna make another one... does anybody know when that's coming out?

  • @LedZeppelinluvr93 They tried but apparently their muse had left the building. Robert's working with Patty Griffin and a couple others now, iirc.

  • I would love to see a second album by these two

  • Both are the best at what they're doing ..hopefully more albums will follow

  • Robert Plant...Come back to Led Zeppelin for a last tour..please.

  • @flaviolas Impossible. Bonham's dead

  • @zarbi10425 I know...but I liked to see these guys ( Mr's) togheter again. One last time...

  • @flaviolas No kidin..id give my left nut to see zep in concert

  • Is it just me, or does Allison look just like Marilu Henner.

  • I love them BOTH!

  • dig this stiff. please check my original songs and also i did a over of whole lotta love you will like.!

  • everybody knows this was a great collaboration. allison can sing with any body.she can make me smile,,,she can make me cry. she is one of the best.

  • Plant should sit along Joan Marie Larkin, not some "alison krauss" .

  • @panflutelistener

    pillock

  • Krauss is a musician, first and foremost..she can play anything with strings...very well!...I don't have to say a word about Plant...lol

  • i just hope she truly realizes who she is sitting there with

  • @gentledoe7 everybody who knows music knows allison, this was a great colla boration. she can sing and play with anyone. just listen to the clairity of her voice and you will understand why they all want her

  • robert is still the legend..not allison..lets see her get up there and sing the immigrant song.she cant..not in her.

  • @gentledoe7 I love zep and robert plant , I don't know that much about Krauss , but I don't think Alison is that type of artist to sing Immigrant song.. Different strokes for different folks you know. Can you imagine Marvin Gay singing Immigrant song ? Both Robert Plant / Marvin Gay are legends and amazing singers yet extremely different from each other.

  • i bought the album and i hadnt listened to it for a while, just did and it is mainly Alison singing and Robert backing her! Love that he did this with her its fun and so not him, he must have enjoyed a change in music genre! Why not he had fun and he can do what he likes he dosent need the royalties hopefully!

  • Fantastic collaboration! Love it!

  • Lets face facts, he was trying hard to get off with her.

  • I don't think she's the type of woman who would let Plant use her for a roll in the hay. She seems too classy for that. I'm surprised she is even a country musician. Usually people who do country music are nothing but low class redneck, hillbilly trash, but she isn't. It surprises me that she does this kind of music.

  • She'd be lucky to get Him...he's still got sex appeal, he's a brilliant musician, And he's got money...

  • if I was Robert and had the opportunity, I would definately nail her, I mean come on she is young enough to be his daughter who would'nt take the opportunity to nail a woman 24 years younger

  • agreed. plus an age difference is just mathematics in adulthood. i bet they have great sex.

  • @nextWarnie Well, they're both adults, and the age ratio is different (1.5x her age vs. 5x her age)... and hey, it's Robert Plant. He could always get any girl he wanted.

  • yeh i no i was jst being a dick.. n yeh i mean robert plant is a fine piece of man meat ay..

  • They sound absolutely amazing!!...Brilliant collaboration for sure!!!

  • Robert Plant going country?

  • You just know he's doing her.

  • Yeah, and she is enjoying every minute of it. lol!

  • Speaking as a geezer, I certainly hope so.

  • I'm sure he's given her every inch of his love a few times.

  • @ricardopachecotoledo maybe...or not...i just love the album...

  • @ricardopachecotoledo I like to think so....

  • @arletteaaa reallly??

  • @ricardopachecotoledo its not 80s...he is old..maybe the age of her father..lol..

  • @ricardopachecotoledo Think your right --what other reason

  • @ricardopachecotoledo, haha, an interesting comment! I thought the same... and couldn't find anything about their personal lives. From the videos one can conclude that they do each other...

  • I saw them last year on tour....OMG....they were better live, I still get chills thinking about the way the harmony sounded.

You can have her, I'll take him anytime!

  • @magneticfamily i LIKE YOU YOU MOST HAVE LOW STANDARDS

  • Does Decca own Rounder?

  • Two great singers thats for sure. Can't wait to pick up the CD sometime.

  • Raising Sand - An album for eternity. Ingenious!

  • I've always liked hard rock, the blues, folk rock and folk music from around the world, including the real "down home" Appalachian music that you hear in "Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." So for me this is kind of a dream collaboration. I've always liked Led Zeppelin, because they combined all those genres. In a way it seems like a natural way for Plant to go. Kind of like Ritchie Blackmore and his Blackmore's Night project.

  • I couldn´t have said it better myself! The parallell to Blackmore is very interesting. He also found a different path - also with a very beautiful woman, and now he plays music which is much more "back to the folk roots" than with Deep Purple or Rainbow. I think this why Plant didn´t want to do a whole tour with Zeppelin anymore - he had done that and this was something new. And it must be nicer to look at Alison on stage than good old Jimmy Page...

  • Lol. I happened to see Blackmore's Night live on PBS, and I was blown away. At first I didn't make the connection to Ritchie Blackmore, having had some Deep Purple and Rainbow albums in the past. I have a soft spot for "Renaissance Fair," medieval lute and celtic music.

  • are they like dating or something?

  • no one knows for sure...not likely, but not impossible either. even though the more sensitive people will slam comments with sex jokes. LOL Because celebs are GOOD people...better than the rest of us. LOL hope that answers your question. :D

  • f*ckin' hope not! i wanted her!!!!

    *weeps inconsolably*

    ;)

  • Love Plant. Love Krauss. But not together. I guess I am the only one in the world who didn't "get" this record. I just didn't like it. Two incredible, legendary artists collaborating on a potentially genre shattering recording, reduced to a whimsical footnote in both careers.

  • You ought to figure out why you don't get it cuz you're really missing a milestone in music history. This is one of the best records ever and T-Bone is a freaking genius!

  • what a beautiful, awake, pair

you never know what amazing waves life is going to throw your way . . . what beautiful music, what passion . . . keep discovering, keep flowing into the unknown, beautiful music angels . . .

  • Oh my god I love you Robert Plant you are so intersting people...you are the light for Alison Krauss...and voice and everything.....Alison is good but i bought this cd because is Robert Plant ..This man is the most important man of rock ....he is Led Zepp ...he is genius...the best writer...the best voice...the best sentimental people and the best chalenger...

  • Robert Plant seems like a really nice old man now.

  • really nice, HOT, old man. :):)

  • I love Alison Krauss and am also fascinated by the early rockers like Robert Plane. Their work together produces really nice work, at least I am enjoying it.

I admire their passion of music and courage to venture different ways of expression in music

  • Robert Plant*, but that's true what you explain.

  • well, let's see. if you were alison, who would you rather sleep with? yo yo ma--stifles giggle-or robert plant? give it some thought and let me know. lol :D dies laughing*

  • Brilliant two!

  • Planty is a Wolves fan...Planty is a Wolves fan....Nah nah na na.. Nah nah na na !!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I seen them at the Fox in detroit amazzing! but please robert do a zep tour IM begging!

  • although he does sound good with alison, i really wish he'd take a break from from that, and do ONE tour with Zeppelin.

  • Sorry brothers, but Led Zepplin ceased to be the day John Bonham left us for the great gig in the sky.

  • Haha yeah R.I.P. Bonham..

    Lovin' the Floyd reference ;D

  • Couldnt agree more. top album!

  • killer album!! definitely worth buying. love it. really surprised me

  • Raising Sand performed by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss ..

    The 2k9 Grammy Winners.. :s

I wanted To Listen Up To Their Music, But Hell Cant Find 1 Song On Whole Youtube..!! =(

  • There's are links of the songs just on the right side in "related videos", I see at least 8 songs there, check them out.

  • Have these two had sex yet ?

  • I am pretty sure they have! They both have kids!

  • they had kids together ?, damn Robert still gets around !,,I'm sure Garth Brooks will be pissed when he finds out.

  • Really? You think Garth is the jealous type? Perhaps Robert shouldn't have strayed in that case!

  • Rich Women is the best song on this Album.

  • They sound like they had a blast doing this. Wish I could have been a part of it.

  • Great album.... My favorite purchase of the year... Bringing good music back!!!

  • Which one's Robert Plant?

  • Why the cameraman of course! DUH!

  • very good

  • How could a guy like Plant with his passion for music and musicians NOT fall in love with someone like her? Not even considering her beauty which is, well, considerable

  • Maybe because she is involved with someone else? At 60 he might know better than to get into that kind of hornet's nest and prefer to have a fun working relationship/friendship! ;D

  • I didn't mean he would necessarily do anything about it:) and I've found that attraction to another isn't something you can stop from happening to you nor does it fade with age. The type of person you're attracted to is still attractive to you over time. But my comment was meant as a positive one. An alien thing on this website and unwelcome as usual.

  • Sorry if you took my response as unwelcome. Wasn't intended that way. But yours wasn't the first comment regarding their relationship! It was indeed the nicest so I thought it a good moment to point out the facts.( As I refuse to respond to comments like Superiorstickers' one) And I didn't mean feelings don't happen, I was trying to point out how experience ( from amongst other thing age) can dictate your response to that attraction. :)

  • True. And yeah people seem to have more fun crapping in each other in this forum than anything else. Either that or they do the "your artist sucks, mine rules" game which isn't very interesting either.

  • :) Yes I saw your view on that on your channel! And I agree.

  • yeah, man i agree--people aren't nice to each other on here...it';s odd. i'm in the camp that thinks--all 1 of us--that they're attracted to each other. however, if she's taken that changes things...unless they make the tabloids, or she tells john waite (her bf) to take a hike. celebrities! :D

  • They also do a version Of Townes Van Zandt's "Nothin'" Sung by Robert Plant who hadn't even heard of Townes before he sang his song. I find the fact that Robert Plant had never even heard of Townes Van Zandt a travesty., him being a fellow musician and all. I don't care if he is an English rocker, There's really no excuse for that! The album turned out pretty good tho. Slow, but okay.

  • I am excited to hear these two singing a John Prine song here, I gotta go buy the CD now.

  • Anybody looking at both their careers would immediately see there is nothing gimmicky about this project! Neither are the kudos they got from all sides "novelty" kudos.

My bet is though that the majority of the critics here have not heard more of this album than what they heard in this video! Personally I say this is the best album I have heard in many years and I doubt very much it will soon be forgotten by any music lover! Already many artists are drawing inspiration from it!

  • How many years exactly.... there was Everybody Loves A Happy Ending. Superb! This comes from a die hard RP super fan. I didn't know much about her though. They make good fun music together... different from the RP I know but good nonetheless. I would love to hear from someone that knows about history being made with the two of them merging their talents. Hope you find some time....

  • Well, this is of course very personal opinion but I for a long time didn't even listen to music much because of the mainstream crap out there so it is very possible some great stuff came out and went completely by me. So just speaking to music that jumped out to me in between all the dross, I'd say Norah Jones's "Come away with me" and before that Faithless's "sunday 8pm" are albums that jumped out as all around great albums that didn't get boring after a while!
