@tremoraudio ;-) That's a common problem. See my video "Sawtooth Blues" - my ex GF / bandmate said she hated the sound of sawtooth waves. I told her - but that's a major part of the synth world eliminated! She was okay with square waves, at least, and so we used mainly those, and sines.
@virsynth You typed that 3x, and it still sounds too negative. ;-) I am a positive thinker always! Send me the promo code of your app and ill review it if it's good! I think I sent the email for Addictive already? ( are you an employee of VirSyn? Or a user? ) I am reviewing a VERY nice new app to be revealed today! stay tuned!
@BRITAINSSAVIOR me too, obviously ;-) This will happen more with apps like this that were ported from desktop computers, and thus have interfaces with small buttons! The best cure is to zoom in a lot when adjusting things, keep your fingers clean and dry, and just practice. (I'm a lot bettern now than last year!) Coming soon on my channel: A beta test preview of FL Studio, the new iPad edition! (yes, it's real.)
@TheLittleDevil Actually, "I find YOUR lack of faith disturbing." - Dath Vader. In the video I am "the human sample"! (as heard in so many classic tracks - of course I am going to repeat phrases to the beat endlessly ) If you want silent reviews, choose any other boring clone reviewer on YT. I have personality! ;-)>
@imwatchinya Yes, I see them - and how much do they cost? About 285 X the $. (And don't forget, you'd actually have to buy 2, AND 2 classic drum machines.) And you can't put them in your shirt pocket ;-)> Nothing will exactly duplicate the sound of a TB303. That said, you can do a lot of great things with Rebirth, so I say it's a great value!
I'm glad Propellerheads featured this video! Even with the influx of haters. ;-)>
@imwatchinya - I was working in pro audio retail when Rebirth first came out, not long after the original boxes were being sold left right and centre. Most people cashed in (303s were fetching £500-£800 at the time) because this and the new 'virtual synths' were almost as good with none of the hassle. I was lucky enough to own a 303, 808 and 909 and ran them alongside Rebirth, the only obvious difference was when a series of 808 kicks were triggered. I did love my boxes though ;)
@dj2bklyn obviously, takes one to know one. ;-P It's close enough to get the point across. Do you want to 1. nit pick about microscopic divisions between styles of the past, or 2. spend your time making something from the future, that the media hipsters haven't named yet? >;-)> The people who started those styles would choose 2, I suspect!
@slothscanswim it stands for techno bassline, there are rumours it was originally techno BEAST but the marketing department made them change it. The 303 was the price, they were 303 pounds - much cheaper than the 808.
@toranamunter your a complete moron, every part of your comment is wrong. the tb-303 was never meant to be used for techno it was made for bass accompaniment and years after roland stopped its production dj's started using them for house music. the original price of the tb-303 was listed at 238 pounds or 395 us, and the 303 is a completely different instrument than the 808, one emulates a bass guitar and one emulates a drum set. tb has always stood for transistorized bass, not techno-anything,
Are you able to somehow midi time sync say for example..this ReBirth app and the Korg iElectribe app on another iPad? No one can seem to tell me!! I dont have an iPad yet but this is one app i definitely wanna get...

@Intosia Hmm, am checking that program out. It seems that isn't really a direct comparison - Bassline2 is a VST Plug in, in doesn't run on iPad, and has no drums etc.
Even if you consider it better (the "squelch" factor does indeed seem quite good) , it is at most a 1.5x times better emulation, and also costs more than 10x as much?
@j0hnyd42 Well, thanks a lot! Now see Overdramatic Review #2 - iPad Space Invaders 3.0 Infinity Gene ( Yes, with a Techno Music soundtrack, of course. )
Up until I saw this video I couldn't think of one reason that the Ipad would be better than the Ipod touch but now it all makes perfect sense.
And with all the sequencing capabilities of the real machines there is no reason why you couldn't make a proper fully fleshed out acid track on it. WIsh it had an Akai S900 rack aswell for vocal samples but then the world would grind to a holt as everyone busted out perfect house tracks.
@steveshort4steven It's much better to have the knobs larger, good choice. There are plenty of other cool eMusic apps out there to try also ( see my other reviews )
@oscillik Yes, I do know that, I just forgot for a minute because I said "Techno" all those times. It is a fairly common mistake, considering what it has become
@AMOKIAN There are so many great music apps for this thing it's like a candy store, get one NOW. (I wanna get a custom app out there, if you know any programmers! I'm talking to one already...)

@fx61803 All iPhone software runs on iPad also, yes. Now they have made a specific HD version of this app also for iPad (as some companies do).
Now what I want... iReason ;-) that's just a dream at this point, but you could use some i MIDI / OSC app
to control your Reason running on a laptop.

@VJFranzK Well there is Technobox on the Iphone, which is ABL2 engine + 909 + 808.
+ Direct port of the RB interface is fail i think. To hard to use. On the PC its even to small to use...

@wakko1999 Okay, I think you get it. >;-)>
In this video my voiceover is halfway as if it is the repeated "sample" in an acid techno track (as you would often hear in the early 1990's onward)
Spoken word + techno is a great combination = "Speakno" !
