  • my mates name is finlay MacRae

  • I'm not scotish or irish, and were i'm from thre's no celtic music, but always smashes my heart, when i listen to a pipe or scotish fiddle, i have a kind of thing in my trhoat and my eyes soak always!!

  • Nice video and playing =) I've never heard Finlay M. MacRae on the smallpipes. I used to compete in Grade IV with this tune. Would you like me to post a video response with my rendition?

  • Please.

  • how did you get your smallpipes to sound like highland pipes? I play both of them and the small ones don't sound like that; did you put a highland pipes reed in the chanter? It sounds great!

  • Because this pipes aren´t Small pipes but Lowland pipes. My set is from Garvie pipes, Edinburgh.

  • Thank you for responding. I learned something new; I've heard of Lowland pipes but I have never actually "heard" them before. Thank you for posting this. They have a beautiful sound.

  • It's a pleasure to me to play the Phil's tunes.

    Best wishes

    Miguel

  • Thx for posting this. Finlay is my great uncle and Phil my 2nd cousin ;-)
