@miccohelati Yes, that is Bill Lee singing. He sang for quite a few actors in various movies. He did the singing for Captain von Trapp in "The Sound of Music", as well as Caleb Pontipee in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". He was usually uncredited, however, so that is why you probably are not familiar with his name. You're very welcome! Thanks for commenting.
LOVE this!!! It was always one of my favorites, and I had the biggest crush on Joe Cable (too bad it wasn't him really singing)! Thanks so much for uploading!!
@sorrowfulflower Oh, I did too! I used to wish that Nellie and him were a couple, because I liked him better than Emile. I was also quite disappointed when I learned that he wasn't the one singing. You're most welcome!
Thanks yet again for another of your "South Pacific" favourites! I guess we all at times long for our "girl back home" and what we've left behind. This song and the photo perfectly capture this wistful feeling! I greatly appreciate your sharing this gem!
@azw596 You're very welcome! And that is quite true. Glad you enjoyed it! I was having a hard time finding a good picture, but thankfully this one turned up just before I was going to settle on something less fitting.
Nellie, while getting mail: "My Mother always has problems with everything I do. What about your Mother? What does she say about you?"
Joe: "Well, my Mother thinks that everything I do is right. Of course, I don't tell her everything I do!"
Reminds me of that scene(;
