  • FYI that car is for sale...

  • damn first time i see a mustang drifting. BADASS . what a sick driver.

  • that mustang is fucking sick

  • ebrake then power over

  • lol fast and furious tokyo drift, "TWINKIE", real original! LOL

  • that guys a fucking sick ass driver.

  • i give that guy MAN props

  • thats badass!

  • farkin ausume track, would be cool to battle on that one.

  • sick drift. best drift car is team orange wrx sti rwd conversion and 2.8 liter ej25 built race engine and sweet side mounted intercooler thingy

  • sounds like you are talkin about kumakubo. ive always been a big fan of imamura in the apexi FD3S

  • Yes.. me too.. The Apexi Rx7

  • yeah 1997 240sx rb26 with a t8834d turbo. all gutted and eight point roll cage

  • I got one better. 1977 datsun 280Z with LS3 corvette engine .All the more power and torque than an RB26 and you dont have to wait for the turbo to spool up. Also wven without gutting the car you still come in about 300 punds lighter than the 240sx. A big plus. Any GM mechanic can tune it up for you.

  • who has a pink background????????

  • thugathugacation check the next page of comments lol

  • very nice and hey im a big inline 6 guy i have one in my 240 but v8s are just as good to for drifting it all in the gearing and valve timing so dont knock the v8 if uve never tried it.

  • ur 17...and own an inline 6 in ur 240. erm....yea, rite.

  • Yeah it's all about torque with drifting regarding the rear wheels anyway.

V8 is the best but some things are almost as good In line 6 and turbo 4s.

  • Turbo's just really arent the best for drifting. Because on a turbo engine you have to wait for the turbo to spool up before you hit the torque band and it's definately torque that you need in drifting.

  • yet, most winning japanese machines are turbocharged

  • I would say all winning Japanese cars are turbo charged. Trying to drift a non tubo import makes as much sense as trying to fly without wings. Turbo's are the supplement or substitute that small engine's had to make to make up for the lack of displacement. Fun fact the supposedly RB26 mustang used in tokyo drift was just a prop car. The car that actually did all the drifting was actually powered by a 475+ cubic inch engine.

  • I know all that, except for the tokyo drift thing, which I've never seen evidence for.

I only wanted to react to your comment. Turbos might not make throttle work easy, but they have proven their efficacy more than once. It's all about balance really. Ueo did well with his 200hp 1.6, Sapp is doing ok with a 180whp 2.5, both n/a. Balance, skills, decent p/w ratio, and you can burn the ground already ;)

  • japanese cars are gay

  • rofl

  • ok now realy its not any harder to drift with a turbo than NO2 or just motor real each have there own down falls turboes have the kind of slow building torqe but realy id rather have a turbo than just a motor its harder to realy over power the wheels that way and just go sliding backwords like a nimrod. i love turbos !!!!

  • "ok now realy its not any harder to drift with a turbo than NO2" Were not talking hobby drifting or teenage asshatery drifting around the neighbor hood. Were talking pro drifting here. in order to sustain long big time drifts and maintain control for pro drifting you need some serious horsepower, but more importantly you need some serious torque and even more importantly still you need that torque as low on the RPM band as you can get it in order to maintain a good response time.

  • (Continued) Larger displacement engines have that torque down low on the RPM band. But since import engines have to use forced induction methods to even get to the same level there torque is up much higher on the torque band and its delayed to from the turbo lag which isn't good for response time. You can drift anything with two+ wheel and a transmission even a tractor if you wanted.

  • well.....i guess we can still use turbo for extra power...

  • Yes! but more horsepower gain does not always mean an equal return in torque gain.

  • Yeah but their drifting... they dont need torque, their sliding all over the place...!?

  • "they dont need torque," Who the hell told you that. TOrque is the most important part of drifting. In order to drift your rear tires have to break free there is no way around it. Without Torque you'll never be able to keep those tires free to actually sustain a drift. The Idea is to keep the tires spinning and PREVENT the rear tires to regain traction, and if you don't have torque you'll never keep those tires free and spinning

  • sry, im new to car mechanism.

wud's the difference between Hp and torque? i always thought that the higher the Hp the more the torque?

    pls explain, thanks.

  • Yes the more horsepower an engine generates then the more torque that engine will generate but not all engines produce torque at equal levels. Horsepower is tricky to define but torque is is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis. Basically it means how much force is generated at the crank. Horsepower can roughly be described as how much power it takes to turn your crank at Various RPM's.

  • This may seem confusing but Horsepower is how much Power an engine can generate, and torque is how many foot pounds of force an engine can generate at the crank. Typically you want the bulk of your torque up at higher RPM's but not too high otherwise you'll reach the rev limit of your engine before you can even make use of the torque. But the best scenario is a long powerful torque curve starting low and ending high.

  • yeah for a guy who sued to race mini sprints and full sprints i think an lnline 6 in kinda samll and when u can race sprints u have money and if u have money u can have nice things suchs as idk o a 240sx think before u say

  • That's friggin' impressive! He pulled that whole thing off without ever getting straight. I could only do that in snow, where speeds are much lower. Props to the driver :-)

  • Hey I know him!

  • right... like your pink background?

  • haha, pwned.

  • His background is pink, he must suck dicks.

  • you're gay!!! that car is amazing! Ford V8's are some of the best in the biz. (ford IS the best in the biz).

  • you right

  • @67stangfastback

Dont know about the "best in the business" bullshit, but I will agree... This is a bad-assed mustang.

  • @thugathugacation LOL!!!... this "gay V8" wins multiple XDC championships, as well as Gittin Jr's V8 Mustang winning multiple Formula D championships. Call them what you want, but there's no denying that V8 powered Domestics kick butt not only on the expected drag strips, but road courses and drifting circuits as well.

  • you fucking blow, and you have no idea what your talking about

  • and what do you drive? american cars can drift too buddy.. why dont you go and live where you buy your cars

  • and you must not even have a drivers license if you cant recognize the skill it takes to drift a car that heavy thats meant to go in a straight line.

  • excuse me but who said that domestics suck

  • nice
