That show was so good. I watched the whole series all together as one long episode, and MY GOD IT WAS AWESOME!!!! I had no idea that Charlie Brooker had that kinda horror writing skills in him! I thought he was just comedy.

BTW,why does everyone turn into complete idiots in these kind of films? The 'house-mates' made real BB contestants look intelligent! + the worst 2 cops in TV history!!
Dead set was a top class zombie horror in my opinion,a throw back to the video nasties of the 70s and 80s only better made,can't wait for charlie brooker's next horror effort

I felt sick when Davina got turned into a zombie in it. I absolutely loved Dead Set, I watched it on E4 catch-up so it was like a film. There's only one thing I didn't like, I think they should have stayed with Davina more before she got turned into a zombie, you just kind of see her say "whats going on up there" and then it cuts to a hallway and she's getting eaten. The ending couldn't really have been done differently, they HAD to die, it would be impossible to live. Loved it.

Davina was great in this, just shows what a good sport she is. The whole series was excellent, although I was disapointed with the ending. There was no explanation as to how the outbreak had begun, but I suppose that is the idea.

I hate Big Brother with a passion and I love Charlie Brooker. I don't know if I'll watch this. Unless of course the whole thing is intended as a jab at reality TV then it's automatically great.
Well he said that he's essentially replacing the Shopping Mall from Dawn of the Dead (which was a social commentary on consumerism), with what takes the nations attention nowadays. So it's a commentary on fame.
(Notice that the first reaction of housemates is that they're worried that no-one saw them on TV, rather than the fact that most of their friends and family, along with aquaintances are dead. Thus musing on the callous shallowness of the fame game.)
I mean that in the most sincere great way possible, these tid bits behind the scenes have just endeared Brooker to me more. He has now shown both the hilarious cynicism (Screenwipe) and joyous enthusiasm that make a true, lovely geek. I hail him King Charles I of Geekdom, may he reign until the seas boil and Star Wars Episode 7 is released :/

Well he said that he's essentially replacing the Shopping Mall from Dawn of the Dead (which was a social commentary on consumerism), with what takes the nations attention nowadays. So it's a commentary on fame.
(Notice that the first reaction of housemates is that they're worried that no-one saw them on TV, rather than the fact that most of their friends and family, along with aquaintances are dead. Thus musing on the callous shallowness of the fame game.)

I mean that in the most sincere great way possible, these tid bits behind the scenes have just endeared Brooker to me more. He has now shown both the hilarious cynicism (Screenwipe) and joyous enthusiasm that make a true, lovely geek. I hail him King Charles I of Geekdom, may he reign until the seas boil and Star Wars Episode 7 is released :/

charlie brooker is really good he delivers so much genious into the film and director atmosphere and i am a zombie lover myself and i i can tell if a zombie is gunna be good or utter shit, but this looks really really
