The fact that Q's last ever scene was him giving grandfatherly advice to 007 then lowering into the ground is incredibly moving. It's incredibly sad but incredibly touching that great men always seem to go in such ways :(

I think it might be just me, but the newer Bond films have lost the pulp without the awesome gadgets that Desmond, Q, added to them. They still have they're potential as a Bond film, but it wont be a Bond without Q. Ever again.

I've always been a huge fan of the Bond films and Desmond Llewelyn's portrayal of "Q" was a big reason why. The way he was able to maintain the character's personality over 17 films was something special. I loved how he made the character someone who enjoyed his rather bizarre work and how he always spoke to Bond like he was the only one who could put him in line. Plus, I've always thought Desmond bore a resemblance to my grandfather.
