Nvidia does a lot of optimizations in their drivers for the benchmarking Demos.

I think using Fraps to record performance within a gameplay is the way to bench cards this days.

Ati are doing that right now in countless games, re5 for eg gets over 400fps i the first 20 secs then for the rest of the benchmark struggles to break 100fps the very high fps fot that first part skews the whole result, there are lots more examples i can give if you want.  Gameplay isnt in anyway gonna give a comparison for people to compare against because it can never be the same twice all it takes is a glance at a tree, wall, floor or sky and it will throw the whole thing off.

RE5 is a console game.Aside form the game having a lot of rather low quality textures and lighting effects, It normally doesn't make use of half of a high end GPU, so it is normal for a high end card to achieve such performance if the compiling design in the drivers allow for better utilization of the gpu resources.

Or it could be another utilization via the drivers to get the gpu to process specific textures in the game in much lower quality resulting in high frame rates.

Basicly, if you lock your FPS (vsync) at 60FPS and then in a game a buncha explosions go off and people are shooting all around it drops to lets say 30 FPS and you notice a slowdown which people dont like.

Well, tri-sli just got this guy 86, so that is what you can expect at 1680x1050. Get the 85's, they will give you better performance. Still, it is a waste to get more than one 85 unless you are at 2500x1600. For that, get a 95, or two 285s. When you're down at 1680x1050, a gtx 260 c216 is all you need.

Warhead maxed out at 1920x1080 with 16xq aa and all enthusiast settings you will avg around 78 fps if you add 16x af through nvcp you will only loose a frame or 2 and in some tests none, thats with the gtx 285 in tri sli. The 295 quad wont handle it as well as the tri 285 plus you willo get stutter and frame skipping

This is just my opinion and all, but i don't think onlive will be replacing pc/console gaming any time soon. I know that they(as in onlive) say that latency won't be an issue, but you can experience a great deal of latency watching "HD" videos here on youtube. I have serious doubts on how well the service will run, if it even makes it to market. Also, pc's are running up to 2560x1600 res, while you can only get maximum 720p(1366x768) with onlive. That's a HUGE difference in pixel count (quality)

Only when the cpu is overclocked if i use 3 way sli ajnd stock 920 speed i get 54fps avg on ambush if i run 2 way sli with the cpu clocked at 4.2ghz i get 57fps avg so with the i7 at stock the 3rd crad isnt evn getting used, huge bottle neck. If you are using a core 2 cpu you need to oc it to 5ghz atleast to start removing that bottle neck in other words 3 way sli is a waste on eanything less than a i7 oced to atleast 4ghz
