@lildwayne21 dude i grew up with him...he was my idol......seeing him in 1974 was unique -- he had an awesome look, spoke poetry into the mic and was fucking COOL.....he inspired rick flair (first), then hulk hogan, jesse bventura and tons of other who dudes who grew muscles and hair and wore outlandish clothing.....i enjoyed chris' soliloquies (very clever word meatballs sometimes) but don't think he was as interesting overall....evidently he said some bad stuff and graham stooped to his level.

Harsh words from a guy who is ultimately forgettable and lacking in talent. Graham was essentially the innovator of the steroid-abusing-bleach-blonde freaks of wrestling. Jericho, on the other hand, can actually wrestle.

@snoopyd80 nah he was really special....your too young to know..........i think his interviews from the 70's would indicate his verbal brilliance anyway.......i absolutely idolized him -- used to wear his wristbands and want to be as confident as him. in evrything i did.......the valiant brothers were also very cool.........but graham was the coolest.......that said, listening to this interview pains me.........now i'm anxious to know what jericho said about him.

@posthumanhero I agree he was very influential, and I may not have been alive in the 70's, but I know what role he had in wrestling. I saw him in an interview recently where he said he was largely responsible for the steroid epidemic in wrestling and that he personally introduced many wrestlers to steroids. Second, I've never heard anyone reference one of his matches as being even note worthy or memorable. For me, he's the poster child for Hulked-up guys with zero ring ability.

@snoopyd80 well that's one way to look at it..cetainly the wrestlers back then weren't doing backflips and such...as a 13 yr old kid, however, going to the philly spectrum to see him wrestle bruno were near religious...u see, back then u had to pay to see the good matches....however, the shows today are like 75% infomercial.....graham had great mic skills and the wrestling went with it -- he did good facial expressions and bled alot and looked great, not overly pumped up, just perfect

I'm not sure how Chris Jericho acts outside of wrestling, but look at how much he's given to the WWE. He's worked hard for them and Billy Graham shouldn't be going as far as to say that he wants to rip out his tongue or rip him up from limb to limb because no matter what Jericho said, nothing is so bad that it should lead to him wanting to kill him. What Graham said was really messed up and even if he was a jerk in a real life, he should at least try to give him a little respect.

i just remembered he did mention billy graham. it was at eddies funeral and billy graham said he had 5 mins. and jericho said in the book that he was confused by only having 5 mins to talk about one of his best friends at his funeral. he wasn't slagging him off.

the only time i can hink of is maybe when jericho was young and into wrestling and "hating" him as a wrestling fan dislies a heel. but even so i don't recall him mentioning billy.
