  • This gig was in San Antonio... and then AND now... the audience couldn't or wouldn't differentiate between punk and/or heavy metal. to 78 San Antonio it was all heavy metal. Plus a lot is written about them calling the audience cowboys. but the funny thing is I knew people who went to this show, and they're were more mexican kids there than cowboys. had Rotten & co said all you Mexican Faggots there's not much doubt that the tour would have ended in San Antonio rather than Frisco.

  • Looks like this clip came from 'DOA a right to passage'

  • this is easily the best electric guitar video ever made

  • woot!

  • was this at the longhorn ballroom??

  • @TheClassicpunk1 it was Randy's - see adamtheskunk's post here, Randy's still sometimes hosts metal shows, etc...but mostly bingo. What a combo.

  • new york new york now who wrote that..shame its not as good as this

  • The song playing to this video is from the Sex Pistols last concert in 1978 at Winterland, San Francisco and not San Antonio concert.

  • @37769097 It's from San Antonio. Sid hit the guy with his bass at the San Antonio gig and the film DOA says that is where this footage is from. Also if you type in "Sex Pistols San Fransisco 1978 you'll get this song at the Winterland gig.

  • Sid's bass was actually on at this show...often they unplugged it or turned it down so low it was inaudible...he usually didnt even notice

  • took - singular

  • I tooks TONS of photos at this show, both Ramones shows here too. Good times.

  • sex pistols are from mighty united kingdom

  • Ha ha. How much speed is Johnny on. Look at his friggin eyes.

  • @nightsniper45 er, you said that on the other video

  • I had these 2 last 2 concerts on bootleg vinyls years ago and others .I always thought audio only these are the best 2 concerts audio . Listen again. Especially John. In Dallas and San Fran, he used his anger towards the bands breakup in his vocals and I think they are great. :)

  • It's that video from D.O.A. but with that bloody Winterland performance overdubbed! It's a shame that they overdubbed the whole film with that sound as the Winterland gig was the worst performance of the Pistols in the U.S. in 1978!

  • here bass guitar at 1:37

  • must of been a little unerving having those lunatic yanks chucking all sorts of shit at them,i`d of got off stage not knowing what idiot is going to do

  • Love it!

  • best band ever............better than the gay Doors

  • Great energetic performance from Johnny.

  • whats is the name of this song

  • @strzelec328 New York

  • @strzelec328 it's in the title...what's your problem?

  • Thanks for this, I get a kick out of the crazy audience.

  • This is one of those documents of history that they have to remaster, clean up as much fuzz and grime as they could, then place after the original vids. I would love to see a clean shot of Sid mashing that assholes head in with the base.

  • many mexicans illegally crossed the border just to watch this concert. how can you blame them?

  • The music to the video is from the winterland concert San Francisco, the best concert of the pistols.

  • how did sid have his jacket on when he swung the bass?

  • Sid hit the guy before the song "New York". After there were few minutes before the sex pistols came back on stage.

  • the top witht he two cowboys on with ther cocks out was spacificly made for this gig brilliant

  • I grew up near this venue, passed by it countless times since before i can remember, it's pretty much the west side of town, it's a bingo hall now with the same randys sign as the night they played. It's on bandera and hillcrest and it faces a discount tire, has a former taco bell(now a mom and pop tex mex place) and a little ceasers. I pass it to go to half my familys houses. weird to see it being part of the history of my favorite band.

  • @adamtheskunk Hey Adam! My neighbor ;)

  • @adamtheskunk I also grew up near this and practically saw every day. Had no idea they performed here. Was just too little at that time to even know who they were.

  • well ok i saw some birds so it's not that bad

  • how sad and boring it must of been playing to that crowd of ugly bearded old gays

  • What was the name of he venue they played in??

  • "Randy's Rodeo Ballroom" - I grew up right down the street from the venue and was about 5 years old when they played this show. I can still remember hearing my grandparents, youth minister uncle and and mom talking about the news coverage of the show how shameful it was. :)

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG this is the show of all shows were the band breaks up after this one show OMg

  • They broke up after the San Francisco show. This was the spark in the powder keg for the "loud angry destructive" rock scene in Texas.

  • @hamiltonskater yeah they didnt break up after the san antonio gig. it was the san Fransisco one where things went down the shitter

  • did you see sid hit someone with his bass at the end haha

  • @oligasboy rock history teacher I had said the guy SId hit had a knife and I was trying to get on stage

  • very cool. thanks for sharing
