@longlakeshore I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't afford to go to private college. It sounds like it is what you would have liked though. At public universities, we have the right to engage in freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

I didn't assume that God hadn't gotten through to you yet. I'm just simply saying, if you "could never enjoy a peaceful lunch on the quad because of loud street preachers" that maybe God was trying to speak to you through them...that's all...

Ok well I believe that I will never stop sinning and I believe that no human can live without sinning but that's where Jesus comes in and saves us because we are all imperfect.

Save us from our debts from our sins. I don't understand how you think you can't sin though. And I don't understand why you talk about going to hell to persuade people. The best way in my view is to talk about His love to convert people. I can't believe that we're only here to follow rules and not enjoy our lives. I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

Right, Christ saves us FROM our sins. If you are still living a life of sin, then you aren't saved. It's really that simple. I didn't say that I couldn't sin. I sure can sin. I just make a daily choice to obey God. I am tempted daily, but have given in to temptation rarely since becoming a Christian. I talk about Hell because it's the same way Jesus and the Apostles did it. They are my example. "Laugh with sinners now, burn with them later. Cry with the saints now, rejoice with them later."

Would you mind telling me a verse where Jesus talks about hell as a way to convince people or the way you follow. So by what you believe if you sin the second before you die does that mean you go to hell?

This frustrates me so much that you called me a sinner. So much. You yourself are a sinner too. You have no right to talk down to me when you are in the same boat. If you were to say this to my face you would regret it.

Why does it make you so angry that I call you a sinner? That is what you are, isn't it? I am not talking down to you, I am just calling you what you are. I am not a sinner, I am a saint of God...a Biblical one. Not the one you put on a necklace and pray to. The fact that you are threatening me should wake you up to the fact that you have a wicked, sinful heart.

Sinner you are, were, and will be. You will never be without sin because you are human as well. Yes, I am a sinner but it offends me when another sinner looks down on me and calls me one. If you do not sin then you must be perfect and the only perfect thing I know about is God. So how does one become like you and not sin?

Wrong. I'm a saint. Are you telling me that I can't do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13)...that I can't have victory over sin through Christ? Are you saying that God commands the impossible in Matthew 5:48, John 5:14, John 8:11, 1 Cor. 15:34, etc.?

I USED to be a sinner...not anymore though. You need to stop being a sinner and if you don't, you will end up in Hell in the end! How does one stop sinning? By repenting, trusting Christ and abiding in Him (1 John 3:6)...

Hahaha I see these people all the time. I wonder how many people they have converted. I'm going to go ahead and say ZERO. While I am Catholic, read the Bible, and go to church regularly and whole-heartedly believe in Jesus, this is in no way to convert students.

Wrong sinner...many people have been converted. BUT, even if NONE were converted, that is not the judge of whether an evangelist is doing the "right" job or "good" job. Under your standards, Noah, Ezekiel and even Jesus were failures. I don't judge my ministry on how many get converted, but on how faithful I am to preach a Biblical message. Also, no offense, but I don't take advice from Catholics on how to preach the Gospel...

The instant you claim a wrong & right you are consciously making a claim of faith direction, trust and asking for Judgment. I say that there is one day in everyones life when they are tempted for the 1st time by the lie in many forms and than a compromise is created. The point is that we reject the one that never has tempted us in any way. Jesus is the truth and the way. Non-believers stop rejecting God, Jesus Christ today and repent.

Yeah, 'cause that's not annoying? The best way to convert someone is not to tell them they're wrong or going to Hell. Show them what they can gain, show them what you gained, and be nice to them! And you'll never win them all. Or even most of them.

But I guess it makes you feel better to tell people they're going to Hell.

You are your silly "bronze age" comments. I haven't mentioned the Bible YET in all our discussions. You know that I think, I don't think you can even answer my questions! What is your epistemology? Is it empiricism? If so, then how can you account for things such as morality, logic, reason, uniformity in nature and scientific laws. You can't account for immaterial things that are absolute! That was a good copout by the way, by saying that Morality is a "social phenomenon."
