I wonder can i use just a plain ol' trash can and some rabbit food? Can someone help me out on money saving tips. Also I'd like to know what the con's are by going cheap. lol I'd hate to slow the process down by trying to save money afterall sometimes you end up getting what you pay for. Thanks in advance :)

if you turn ypu compost daily you'll have compost in about 2 and a half months..Yah you can you a trash can but there is a limited oxygen supply and it starts to stink. Foods u feed to rabbits can go in onece it vegies like carrots and stuff.I recoment just finding or builing a wooden box for this stuff.

I put everything in there, meat, bones, dead relatives (just kidding), and my own poop! Check out Joseph Jenkins' web-site. I use recycled pallets and currently have 9 cubic yards composting. I plan on setting up a few more to store leaves, used hay, and sawdust.
