I think that was understood wrong.

Melee was kind of boring to watch, but fun to play. Brawl has more in the way of visual effects and randomness, so its more interesting if say your watching your friends play wile you wait (tourney or such).

Playing is obviously more fun than watching, but now its at least a little fun to see what happens from the sidelines.
