  • Great Job on that video.. Right on target with your opinions!

    Thats the TRUTH!

  • Well said.

  • very well said. i am actually shocked at the "Jehovah's Witnesses" on here that claim the religion does not shun. right before walked out, we had a local needs talk that left NOTHING to the imagination as to proper conduct with disfellowshipped ones INCLUDING close family members. so those who say that it does not happen, are either not doing their personal study, or are sleeping during the meetings and assemblies and conventions.

  • @VarietyFilmCorpVideo: Try taking a look into your bible again...2 John 10 says not to ‘greet’ the "Antichrist." The Watchtower uses this single scripture to support not saying “hello” to a disfellowshipped person. The Watchtower disfellowships for practices never even discussed in the Bible such as smoking, gambling and having a blood transfusion. (And why are you watching my vids and communicating with me, if you think the WBTS is right?)

  • Please go to Rickfearons channel Araretreat

  • thankfully you're out but sadly for many it's true once a jw one's mind is infected for ever.

  • maybe some are still in and the family does not call, anyway. get out and take a class in anything...too family oriented as a group.....Live your own life. stop being stuck and stop letting other humans hurt you. GET a life and an education. Kingdom Hall or the neighbors church is not YOUR LIFE. Even your family of origin (mom and dad) is not YOUR life.....go forward. and stop being STUCK.

  • I was baptized young and also did not understand what I was getting into. Bible reading without Watchtower publications will prove so many of their doctrines such as disfellowshipping, etc as false! That's what led me OUT! Great Video and look forward to more.

  • Great message! I agree. I've been disfellowshipped for a year and a half and have very few friends. It's a really cold experience to see everyone turn their back on you. Thanks for posting this warning to others. The July Awake magazine this year said "no one should have to choose between their religion and their family"

But I sure had to. ES

  • I was born into the organization. I have been disfellowshipped for almost twenty years, and I am still healing. In the beginning, I was convinced the rejection from "family" and "friends" meant God did not love me either. Which obviously took a toll on my already shaky esteem. This organization is "puffed up with pride" and doing unholy damage because of it. To me, it is equivalent to "casting the first stone" and denying ones own sins.

  • Hey, it's Scott from the Facebook and MySpace groups.

Great vid! Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • I was baptised at 14 . . I know 14 yr olds that cant even decide what to have for dinner let alone make the decision to commit their lives to such a WRONG 'cause'.If you are thinking of geting involved in this cult, think again. . this IS NOT CHRISTIANITY!

  • Hello Steph, I am sorry that you have to go though such emotional hardship. My daughter was disfellowshipped too. They want me to cut off contact but there is no way I'm gonna leave her. I'd give my everlasting life for her. I know I'm pushing the rules but I didn't make these harsh rules. The GB did. I don't want to hear the lame replies that Jehovah did. The only way to stop the emotional abuse is to bring attention to it in the media.

  • I have to say that reading this touched my heart. Believe me when I say your daughter appreciates your actions more than you will ever know. At its best, religion should be a hospital for sinners, not a shrine for saints. When we are at our lowest, we need compassion not neglect.

  • Yer daughter is lucky... My mother didnt coem to my wedding and my family covered up abuse as a child. Yes m one of them.. And the other day she called and said he did it again and they want me to Write a Note with all my accusations all of the girls he hurt are so they can bring it before the elders I told em Sure once ya ccall the police.. Im not letting the elders on this one I tried for 18 years and NOW? NOW?

  • I went to them several times they refused to Testify because they had to "Protect gods organization" So I was cast off and he still part of family and has done it again.... Yesterday she calls and wants my help to put him infront of a Judicial Commitee Hell no a Officer knocks on my door and says they need my statement ok! She accused me after this of just being after money... *sighs*

  • I am so sorry that you have had to go through this. I have other exJW friends that have been through the same thing. Their "two-witness" rule to any abuse like this is ridiculous, and innocents pay the price. I'm sending a big HUG your way.

  • They reject Jehovah, for Babylon the Great.

  • who does?

  • Great video and pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject.

  • Awesome video! I too was baptized at 16 after studying with the witnesses for 1.5 years. I think it cruel to punish someone for a decision they made when they were 16. Sixteen year olds make stupid decisions everyday, why should this one be treated any different? Even college freshman make bad choices and change their minds about things, some even change their major 2, 3, 4 times or more.

  • excellent job my love...i disassociated myself about 3 yrs ago and the pain my mother inflicts on me and the subsequent self loathing has taken me a few times to the brink of suicide...

  • I guess I'll have to watch again, I didn't catch those points the first time.

I personally feel if anyone's to be blamed, when children get baptized before they're ready, its the parents. Why would you blame the org? The elders sit down with, cover an exaustive list of topics, to be sure you have a proper understanding, including D.Fing, then if its your desire to be baptized, they allow you to do it.

Sorry if I offended you, but I'm so tired of hearing people claim they didn't know.

  • Original post: BloodySunday1905--

    Yet another deluded cry baby!

Church rules or doctrines? Give me one example of these rules, for which one is "kicked out".

At "15", did you not know the rules of conduct or behavior? Did you not know that violating these "rules", devoid of repentance, would lead to d.f ing? Where you unaware what this meant? Had you never observed anyone else go through this?

At 15 could you read and understand at all?

So, give me one example of these rules.

  • I blame the org, becuase of the double speak and the implication of "DOING YOUR BEST".

Oh no, it's not a requirement, but Jehovah wants you to do your best! In other words, you'll make the guy in the sky very unhappy if you DON'T!

That's what was instilled in me at the age of 15, the force implication of making your family happy, and the prospect of the end coming, it was sold as a shoe in.

  • Well you can thank the gray area labeled as a "conscience matter" when the org finds it convenient to pull that card, even with minors, children really if you look at it. How many 8, 9, 10 year olds I've seen baptized at the assemblies!

From your book of fairy tales 1cor 13:11: When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

Now how come the same logic doesn't apply to the JW regarding baptism??

  • Excellent point! And, yes, I have seen many very young children take the plunge. Parents, elders, and the entire organization should be held accountable for allowing this. Not even Jesus himself was baptized until he was a mature adult.

  • Sorry folks, I had to re-upload this to re-sync the audio and video. Thanks for your patience :D
