  • Why does Geese Howard look like a damn vampire in the Genesis cover art of the game??

The cover art in general looks pretty good, but that vampire geese just looks ridiculous. It looks as if they were trying to pass this game as some kind of castlevania fighter.

  • did anyone else find it odd how one set of characters died like they were a sack of bricks...and the other set died like were really 'floaty' and weight about 3 pounds...even raiden (the huge guy that would have been the heaviest character). very odd. I cant remember i this was also the case on the original arcade/neogeo?

  • @Xfile2708 so did u give it a try then?

  • @Bollocks681 Not tried it yet... lol

  • When the "Continue" screen comes on, repeatedly press A,B,C and Up and you'll pump your continues up to max.

  • @Bollocks681 nice one matey - i'll give that a try next time I pop it on :)

  • just bought 'Fatal Fury 2' mate..it's arguably the rarest pal game ever! :D

  • @cyanidebreathmintz haha - thankfully its not a European PAL release so its not on my list to pickup... I might go for the PAL Aus releases once ive completed the European collection though... ;)

  • This game brings back memories. Me and friends used to play against each other for hours.

  • Art Of Fighting (MegaDrive)

    Game Genie codes

    Infinite Health and Spirit

    9TTT-BCCY

    NATT-AAC0

    0ATT-BBC2

Region Bypass (Play US version on PAL MegaDrive)

    BB5A-AR2T

  • Unlocking Geese Howard

Choose VS mode, then select your game (1p vs 2p or either). Before you select your gameplay, hold LEFT on both controllers, then press start. Now Geese Howard will be playable in VS mode.

Note: If you play '1p vs Com' or 'Com vs Com' mode, then you enter this code, the CPU can select Geese.

For this game, it doesn't matter if you have a 3 or 6 button controller.

Are you going to make a video of Art Of Fighting/Ryuuko No Ken (SNK) on the MegaDrive/Genesis?

  • If I can get hold of it - its a pretty hard game to get hold of on UK PAL...

  • I have this for Super Fami and I suck at it.

  • lol - dont worry matey - I didn't do to well myself... lol

  • Fatal Fury (MegaDrive)

    Graphics: 8/10

    Sound: 7/10

    Gameplay: 7/10

    Fun Factor: 7/10

    Overall: 29/10 (7.25/10)

  • I got this game :)

  • Cool - what do you think of it matey?

  • Only played it the once as good as street fighter 2!!

  • This was 1991.

    Fatal Fury 2 was 1992.

    Fatal Fury 3 was 1994

It changed name since King of Fighters 1994 and stayed the same since.

  • Im sure it said 1993 on the intro - I might be wrong though... lol

  • I guess Fatal Fury was pre 1994 when the series instead of just being a tagline actually changed itself to King of Fighters.

  • Yes I think it was 1993... :)

  • I heard a lot that Arcade stick are surposed to better for beatemups. Which is why I'm hoping to get one for my Dreamcast.

  • Yes they really do help a lot with both beat-em-ups and shoot-em-ups... well worth buying if you can get one at a good price :)

  • lol i heard a " oh shit" : )

  • lol - I muttered that under my breath... didn't think it was picked up on cam.... haha

  • Muhaha actually the cam picks up alot of sounds

  • well the game has 2 characters missing when the snes version of the game has them all but this version of the game has better game play and is closer to the arcade

  • Yes I thought it played pretty well - certainly a game that I'll play again :)

  • Try with the 6 button controller next time. You will notice a big difference in the enjoyment of the gameplay overall. 5 stars.

  • Will do matey - looking forward to giving it another try with the 6-button arcade stick... :)

  • The original game uses 3 buttons, punch, kick and throw button. The 6 button pad wasn't out when this game was released on MD. The 6 button pad only came out the same time as street fighter 2.

The megadrive version of Fatal Fury isn't a bad conversion, its much better than the snes version, although the megadrive version is missing 2 boss characters its playability is far better than the snes version.

  • Yes I was surprised at how playable it was - definately a game I'll be revisiting soon :)

  • Originally the game only required 4 buttons so it really isn't that big of a deal not having the 6 buttons. But the difference in quality from AES to MegaDrive is pretty significant. The MD just feels far too slow for me.

  • It was still more than playable - certainly a game I'l be going back to another day with a 6 button stick :)

  • Not bad bet its pretty good with a 6 button pad.

  • Thats what I thought matey - similar to SF II...

Will have to hook up my 6-button arcade stick for next time :)
