  • that data regarding consumption of vegetable oil vs. saturated fats is just CORRELATION not causation

  • My nigga Sean

  • That is ones again a good example that most of us is living in a dream of twisted way of thinking. Most of us consider as absolut truth, about things that is basis only presumption. People are eating more "helthy", and same time geting all the time just more sick. We sould stop the bullshit and makeing a big numper of immaturalitys, and concentrate to real problems like pesticides and so on.......

  • You rock. Thanks for your work and keep it real.

  • i agree though about, the definition of healthy fat does not mean un-saturated,

also i agree in my opinion the cause of obesity is simple carbs

  • Very good video. I am so glad to see more people come out and speak on these issues with the FDA... They are in the pocket books of elitists.

  • Thank you for your videos and info. I follow alot of diet advice by Saly fallon and Donna Gates which can be sometimes hard to understand. You have a simple and great way of explaining complicated advice.

  • I hate people like this, some fucking ignorants, he does not even have nutrition credentials, clearly attention whore. Firstly a ghetto thug tiring to act smart, with ebonics talk. And did your high school teacher ever tell you Quantitative methods is not 100% reliable? why do you make Americans look bad seriously? the world already has a negative perception of Americans due to their ignorance and foreign policy. You metro hippie ebonic jiving giving trash advice about organics. switch off utube.

  • @ajetha786 you are stupid go and more researches. I do totally agree with shawn

  • Oh my god! not a dumb iraqi immigrant to svenska. please don't tell me to do my research i am a medical student, this guy here is using subjective information to manipulate information. infact i give up english is not your first language it will be a pain explaining. so sorry habibi

  • I use coconut oil to fry eggs, spread on toast, - use instead of butter...even use on grilled cheese!

  • WOW, really? gotta try that, thanks for posting! how's it taste? ok silly question, guess I will figure that out.... frying eggs? wow, that should be fun. and on toast instead of butter? watch out now! im corny, but thanks for the tips.

  • @KITTYKITTYBO are you sure that's healthy?

  • @dandoub88

it is~ look up Dr. Ben Kim and under products there is info under coconut oil.

  • hahahahaha... Im metrosexual, I'ma just keep it real. LOL

  • I agree with you. Grapeseed oil is excellent to fry if you do that. Raw apple cider vinegar and hemp seed oil are my thing for salad dressing. Do a search for "pasteurized milk coronary heart disease" and you might come to see that fake milk as a cause behind coronary heart disease.

  • This guy usually makes sense but this is crapola. Suggesting heart disease is solely due to the increased consumption of veg oil and the reduction in use of saturated oil is obscenely misleading. People in years gone by DID die of heart disease and cancer...if they hadn't they would still be here ! Coconut oil has more saturated fat than beef ! Do not listen to this.

  • People in years gone by DID die of heart disease and cancer...if they hadn't they would still be here !

    makes no sense

  • sean does make sense

  • it wasnt sean that said it, donnyab did

  • oops sorry i meant to give u a thumbs up, sorry lol

  • Coconut oil, although it may have more saturated fat than beef, it is medium chain saturated fat so it doesn't go straight to the blood/heart like your McDonalds or KFC would.

  • he is absolutely correct veg oils and country crock margarine crap cause heart disease and yes heart disease and cancers have always been around but not in these explosive pandemic numbers and it is no accident that we were steered away from butter coconut oil lard , the sun and eggs these are all good healthy necessary components the body needs .! Medium chain is the key !!

  • i eat tons and tons of fruits and vegetables (like ALOT ALOT) should i still take a multi vitamin / vitamin c???

    AND

i like to put alittle bit of soy milk in my coffee. i dont like cow milk so i was thinking of switching to coconut milk. is that okay to consume??

    AND..

since non-raw cow milk is bad for you, does that mean i should not eat cottage cheese? ( i usually buy 'nordica' from a regular supermarket)

    THANK YOU!! :)

  • the coconutb milk in your coffee might make it taste funny :)

  • thanks for the help!

  • ight, you should look into goat milk and its health benefits. no, the vitamin c multivitamin is not needed( if your consern, check with ur doc) coconut milk is da best, but it is really thick, so. get the book The Maker's Diet! it will answer all your questions and more! peace

  • Omega-6 Fat Research News & Commentary

the above website has a useful set of research papers showing how too much omega 6 vegetable oil is bad for health.

Stephan Whole Health Source blog has an interesting post

    "For Those not Scientifically Inclined"

  • Anyone have thoughts on Dr. Bronner soaps?

  • Whats the best kind of coconut oil to use?

  • NO coconut oil, brand NO.

  • You want cold-pressed olive oil so it won't go rancid, and then you cook with it?

    Did I miss something?

  • hey dud are you a vegetarian?

  • is oatmeal, buckwheat etc is healthy?

  • Soaked and slow cooked organic? then yes, in general.

  • PUFAs are just bad! Thanks for spreading the word, Sean :)

  • Have y'all look up that Grassland site? Alot of that stuff is really expensive...I don't have the money for it.

  • yo dawg. dese oils be bad 4 u.

  • yes almost all normal veg. oils are bad especially because non of them are raw even the once that say "Extra Virgin" on it. Use raw Coconut Oil, Udo's choice or flex seed oil...if you don't eat raw seed and nuts you essential oil deficiency can occur ... ...get a book called "Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill" ...also the fat consumption on animal flesh (FAT) has gone up also not down...Americans just now consume more of everything!

  • Hey, is Smart Balance recommended. I know that it claims to have the appropriate ratio of omega 6's to 3's. Not sure if the proccessing is good or not. I just know that it tastes good.

  • lol at the coconut oil...

  • thanks bro! its a damn shame that us blackfolks have to learn how to eat like this!

  • great vid, thanks!!!

  • what a great vid' ! ..

    so important subject ......

vegetable oils when heated create free radicals ....

    i use only olive oil ( first pressing ) & butter !

  • Yup 100% correct. My mom took a nutrition class when I was a little girl and told me of "free radicals". I live in the Mediterranean and olive oil is the only oil used here. And only "first cold press". Also stop saving cooking oil as I know some of you have heard about. Old school Italians do the same and it is not good for you.

  • haaahaa yes here too....

olive oil & sheep butter !

    ....

your butter looks good too !

in the old days , the oil was saved as a result of poverty ...

    ' la povera cucina'.......

  • shadora , i meant to say 'his' butter .....sorry .....lol

  • I have a theory that part of the psychology behind the "saturated fat = bad" paradigm is that people associate the word 'saturated' with satiated or the feeling of being full. Of course its saturated fat refers to the configuration of hydrogen molecules.

You don't have to be metro to use coconut oil on your skin. Good for you inside and out. It is solid at room temperature because of the high saturated fat content. ya know. 1

  • very informative i was def not aware thnx for a different perspective

  • "I'm a metrosexual" LOL!

    Ur awesome.

  • Excellent and accurate. We never fried our food, and some like to use olive oil to fry food. This is a monounsaturated fat and it is still reactive when heated but not anywhere as bad as polyunsaturated vegetable oils. I would love to have your view points on meat eating -- fed on the grain, I am really confused about it. Even organic foods at my supermarket are grain fed, Oh... organically grain fed (LOADS OF OMEGA 6 in meat instead of Omega 3!) I bang my head with all the frustration.

  • concise and informative, thanks

  • Thanks, Very interesting!

How much cod liver should would be taking?

  • 1 teaspoon per 50 pounds of bodyweight

  • gold dude - couldn't stop laughing, entertaining and informative

hi from everyone at levity health in australia - keep up the great work!
