@alexandermakrianis Most don't make points other than to give into consumerism. They were just trying to be funny. The point of the joke in the commercial is that the dad misunderstood what the mom was saying about bundles(bundling phone, internet, and cable into one package; aka "bundle"), and babys are called bundles of joy. She was taking about getting rid of their phone bundle but he thought she was talking about getting rid of their baby because it was too expensive to care for.

@Meepzilla I know what the message was that the commercial was trying to convey, I just get annoyed by stupid commericals. This one especially annoyed me. I'm watching a TV show and it constantly gets interrupted by commercial breaks that are too long, then commercials like this come on that need to be about as half as long as they are. Cut out the silly skits and make a point about whatever you're trying to advertise. Aparently I'm the only one who has this frustration.
