This band has discovered and employed,on a large and lasting scale, the elixir of JAZZ! Never bettered and rarely if ever equalled. The apotheosis of everything that is JAZZ!
When you got a song in your heart you don't just retire...This band has got it!! They are hot. 1920's hot jazz has always and is still popular in Continental Europe. They just can't get enough!! God Bless. They're keeping the message alive! 5***** to you for this post. :-) td
This morning I got a youtube recommendation for this video. I'd heard Eva and her husband Clarence Williams performing in the 1920s via redhotjazz, and I enjoy their music, but this video is outstanding, a brilliant band, and superb stylish singer from the beginnings of jazz. Thankyou, Arne.
My God, Eva Taylor in the flesh? What a wonderful surprise after hearing the Clarence Williams original from way back when. What a band! Words fail me. (Love the trumpet playing, BTW).
Sure brings back a lot of memories. Eva Taylor is my grandmother. I was at that performance with my father Spencer Williams and my mother Geraldine. We three accompanied my Grandmother on that tour. Feels like it was just yesterday I love seeing her perform. You can hear my dad cheering her in the back ground.
Que bueno que subes esto a Youtube!! Gracias
