I think all this time this media pit races against each other from music to movies everything you see affects you somehow. I was a middle school teacher a few years back, it is sad and I worry about the future of alot of those kids. Your other question, was it because of slavery? I don't understand why if I'm proud to be white, I would be looked at as a racist by some. Yet its ok to have black pride. I don't ever really think about having white pride or anything, but having pride in your race to me is just a way of saying my race is better than yours. So maybe all this pride in your race stuff needs to stop. Not that it probably ever will. Pride in yourself and family more so than color of skin you were born with. The UCR itself stresses that it only reflects ARREST RATES.
Either way whites have higher arrest rates rates of "non lethal" rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. Your point?
UCR has it's flaws; for example it does not even factor in male rape.

So funny how someone could say black people should float back to their country. Please impress upon we why this country belongs to any one else besides the aboriginals who were here before the Europeans that killed them and the slaves that worked the land? If you portrayed blacks as being on the same level as whites, they would whine about "That isnt accurate", and if you portray as real life, then they complain like they are in this video. Its a no win situation. If they dont like the US, they should float back to their homeland.

Study your history and you will learn that classroom teachings are so ass backwards. The History Channel alone has debunked hundreds of things I was taught in class. Example: When I was young I thought that Greenland was bigger than Australia and Africa. It was displayed that way on the maps.

@cursivedragon I dont have anything against another race either, but I disagree when some blacks say "our history was washed away by whites", or the current fad of pushing black pride so much its degrading to other races. Lets talk facts, not to spew hatred, but for reality. I said before to LadyE, this is the greatest moment in history for blacks to leave a mark on this world, unfortunetly alot of them aren't taking advantage of it.

Like I said before, name great nations that were founded and run by blacks? Look at what goes on in Africa when blacks govern blacks. I will agree with you to a point. It would appear that blacks did indeed have a slower start. But could that have been because they spent so much of their lives running from slavery or were slaves? I can not go by books that are written by white men cause how would one know if that information was altered? Hell we know they are doing it with global warming. So why not put down a race of men who are designed as natural warriors. Take them out the game and America is free picking.

So neither one of us likes being portrayed as something we aren't. Than why as humans do we continue doing it? LOL I have no idea how being black aids in getting you a job unless you are qualified. I took a course on Equal Employment and Affrimative Action. I will gladly share with you the principles of each. But my question still remains unanswered. Why is now the time for blacks?

I don't think that white people are holding a race down. I believe that it's the media and the Elites. It just so happens that most are or are controlled by whites. I don't think that they are doing it cause they are white, I strongly feel they are doing it to weaken us as a whole. You know the old adoge "divide and conquer."

You taking care of your family is a good point. Nothing wrong with that for sure. If more people, whatever color, do that, it will increase the chances that a child that grows up in that enviornment can achieve greatness. Every paycheck I put up for my childrens future is in hopes that they are great. Not greater than me monetarly speaking but greater than me as far if I didn't do something that I should have they will. See... Gates is too argumentive. I have watched people say he stole alot and is... well... rather dumb. These are not blacks either they all were whites saying this about him. One can never go by statistics. Penn explained statistics better than anyone. It's just a form of brainwashing.

@cursivedragon That is America's problem today, the breakdown of family. It has hit all races. The stats say it is a huge problem in the black community, but it is a problem for all. I was a middle school teacher a few years back, it is sad and I worry about the future of alot of those kids. Your other question, was it because of slavery? Sure it slowed down some progress, but that can't be why prosperous nations werent formed in Africa, blacks enslaved blacks just as much as whites.

We so see eye-to-eye. Our families are being torn apart with others ignorance and false statistics. I also worry about the future of all our children, regardless of color. To me there is one race, the human race. We should teach our children about slavery and other bad things that our history holds. But not as a tool of hatred but as an eye opener. Let them see how corrupt people can gain power and destroy and entire nation. Let them see past the media hype.

My children are NOT allowed to watch television for any reason. They are growing up the same way I did. One TV in the whole house. They get bored go read a book, go outside, pull out some games or go clean up. But no television!!

@cursivedragon There are groups out there that have an agenda to "govern","hold down", all people. Some may believe its necessary to control the masses secretly in some form. A good book about it is "Rule by Secrecy' by Jim Marrs. Slow read, but eye opening. You are right, just the human race, if everyone looked at it like that things will be better, thats why I shout out against the "black pride" parade. @cursivedragon Would like to hear your opinion. Is or should Obama be labeled as a black President?? Is Tiger Woods a great black golfer? They are both mixed, and if your gonna label them, it should be the truth, not a pick and choose. Never once have I heard Tiger called a great Asian golfer. They should just be American with no race in front of that. In my opinion mixed people seem to be very attractive, I believe that eventually the whole world will be mixed, the evolution of man.

I have no love for the game of golf nor do I think highly of any president past or present. But I see what you are saying. Why do people on my jog do this to me. I asked my teacher years ago why is it that any race mixed with black is called black? His reply was that the black gene is a dominant gene. This does not mean blacks are better, I am not trying to take it there. So Tiger would be called black as well as Obama. Personally they both can kiss my ass.

The young generation of Brits are downright scary with their passion about the U.S. They are being fed too many negatives about America, and their history teachers tell them they beat the Nazi's and Japs by themselves. Look at all the countries in Africa, they are a mess. The countries that were controlled by whites flourished and produced and exported food. Then the blacks take over and ruin the country and they starve. Why is that? Like I said before, now is the time for blacks to make a great contribution to the world and be included in history. As sad as slavery was, the African Americans today are lucky that they are in this country instead of in Africa. No race is owed anything because of the past.

I don't understand why if I'm proud to be white, I would be looked at as a racist by some. Yet its ok to have black pride. I don't ever really think about having white pride or anything, but having pride in your race to me is just a way of saying my race is better than yours. So maybe all this pride in your race stuff needs to stop. Not that it probably ever will. Pride in yourself and family more so than color of skin you were born with. And yes, religion will continue to be a major issue.

@Doughost26 I have never looked at someone as being racist who is proud to be white. I think a lot of people would agree that its perfectly healthy to be proud of who you are. It is when the pride turns into racism and most of the time this is the case. I'm proud to be black but that pride doesn't' exist based off the degradation of another group.
Your answers to resolving racism tend to be more destructive. Don't give up being proud of your I.D., give up the prejudice that creeps in.

@ladyEulaelie I don't have a true answer to end racism, don't think anyone does. Never in a history book have I read that a white person did this or that. It was just a person did this. I never heard anything about skin color. Why is every accomplishment done by someone black have to be announced as a black accomplishment?

You history books mostly pertain to white ppl b/c they were and are the ones that were the most high positions doing the most "important" things deemed worthy of mentioning the world.

You textbooks books don't say a lot. Even you economics book purposely leave out the truth about the money changers.

Black people have always been stereotyped as unintelligent, good for nothing but labor...cooking and cleaning and entertainment. This stereotype was created to put on us down and make some ppl not feel as bad for slavery and discrimination.
It is important for black ppl to realize that they are each individually unique and special and not the stereotype perpetuated in the media and in society....

If you see that the ppl before you have done something, its a way of knowing that your skin color really doesn't determine what you are capable of. A lot of white ppl don't understand is b/c most history is the account of white ppl. White ppl have never been left out of anything in this world.

When Africa starting getting colonized the people there didnt even have a written language. Thats why there is no history.

@Doughost26 Thousands of years in Africa and they only built pyramids, which no one knows how to make today. Engineers study them. The pyramids outdate stonehenge by a couple of centuries. I looked up this book, its called the 'History of Mathematics in Africa' by Saxakali. The africans even taught pythagoras's and helped him become a better mathematician. The Africans did many many things but you don't hear about these things in widely distributed textbooks.

The original egyptians were blacks(Nubians) actually, Arabs came and couquered egyptians 1000 years later and mixed with them. Alot of people bypass that factor, it's not false, don't make push or rush of a fact on assumption without proper data.

The so-called professionals of archaeology that write the books most study seem to lean towards an "Arab" or "Semitic" title for the Egyptians, I think they are indirectly obvious with their assumptions.
