@rmed30 I'm all for everyone's civil rights and I don't live in a swamp, but I feel the approach that Lincoln took wasn't particularly constitutional and was far too aggressive. I also see the "freeing" of the slaves as more of an added bonus, and not a very high priority, if it even was one, for him. The emancipation proclamation only freed slaves in confederate states where the union had no control anyway. That's like Obama saying that all Indians in India are free from the caste system.

In 2008 I thought that the views of Ron Paul were far fetched but 3 years later I can see that he was right about everything. I am a Ron Paul covert !!!!!! I may even put a bumper sticker on my car, but I live in MA....... We'll see. Great video!!!!!

@rmed30 I'm all for everyone's civil rights and I don't live in a swamp, but I feel the approach that Lincoln took wasn't particularly constitutional and was far too aggressive. I also see the "freeing" of the slaves as more of an added bonus, and not a very high priority, if it even was one, for him. The emancipation proclamation only freed slaves in confederate states where the union had no control anyway. That's like Obama saying that all Indians in India are free from the caste system.

i really like the guy, but he won't ever win. he isn't in with the right people. he hasn't sold his soul to the powers that be. he can't win. there are far more powerful forces at work than an individuals right to a vote.

I believe Ron Paul is America's best chance to put an end to corruption. I do not agree with all his principles but I do believe he has the interest of the people at heart and that is why I will vote for him.

I am not political @ all but i'm loving what i hear from Ron Paul- but as much as u hear from any politician it comes with a grain of salt, follow through for any politician is always #1 ( and sadly most don't have any, Ive lost faith in politics, because of the lack of follow through). In any case I would like to see Ron Paul nominated at least.

You should check out the details of his positions on various issues & more importantly WHY he's has chosen those stances; it's always with a view on Constitution & to protect the right of every individual to his life, liberty & property. Ron Paul is the leader of a religion. All of his followers are emotional young people, none of them are serious academics (unless they're getting paid by David Koch). Like most religious people, his followers mean well. It's just that their reasoning faculties have been disabled by their emotions and the propaganda they've been exposed to. You can't blame them for getting angery and looking for answers. Their country has been getting raped by the top 0.1% for some time now.

Civil War was NEVER about the slavery, Lincoln had said so very clearly. Civil War was about power, it was about turning UNITED states of america into united EMPIRE of america by centralizing the govt power.
War started on the issue of tariffs which had been imposed on the South for the benefit of North & once the war started, the ONLY reason why Lincoln made the "emancipation proclamation" was to debilitate the Southern economy so that they won't be able to finance the war.
