  • Why would you destroy a R6 and route for humbuckers?

  • @chad1974 I got it from Ralph's like that.. I agree with you!

  • damn nice sound !

    so creamy and soft

what amp are u using to get that tone?

  • I agree with many of the comments: The guitar sounds really really good.

  • this is one of the best les poul i have ever heard, thenk you very mach for the demonstration, amazing .

can you tell us what amp and settings you use ?, it is realy cranked amp like it sound or it is a pedal you use ?

    thenks :-)

  • Naaah This guitar sings! Love your bends JimiH / Albert King like. superb

  • Comment removed

  • In the sidebar he writes that it's been routed for humbuckers.

  • $ 5173

  • holy crap!

  • how much does it cost?

  • ive seen this vid several times but i always come back to it. this is AMAZING TONE! do you think it has to do with the wood being 16 years old, or do you think that guitar sounded that good right off the line??? probably has a lot to do with your playing also. but you know what i mean.

  • I have had a lot of LPs over the years and this one sounds the best, maybe becasue its 16yr old wood or maybe its just becasue its been played to death by its previous owner.. its VERY aged!

  • Great tone..one of the better historic tones I ve heard on tube..You should just practice a bit more LOL

  • @goldtop68 LOL Tomi... send me some Lamb to help me.. maybe I should raise the action like you so I can get that Matan vibrato going on!!

  • It took me years to get the vibrato right.I used that rubber band for exercise, the one used by athletes,to make my left had stronger.Raising action also helps, but takes some time to get use to. Great tone, great guitar.

  • great !

  • How long have you been playing?

  • Hahahhahahaha nice vid

but its for me more an comedy on the way youre moving(like mr bean)

  • LMAO! You know your right.. the music makes me do that...hahaha. The REAL Mr Bean lives near me, maybe I can ask him to dance in a viv while I play the Blues!

  • I wish you would do a lesson on how to play at least some of these riffs, look at it this way.

If I had the same setup as you, I might as well have a nylon stringed classical guitar due to the fact I dont have any idea about how your able to sound like that

  • The clean is awesome though, despite the mushy overdrive.

  • What do you think about the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe?

    have you gigged with it?

if so, then how did it go?

  • I had a HRDLX a few years ago.. It was hit and miss. The clean channel up loud is the best tone you will get from that amp. Dont even bother with drive channels..they sound way to thin and light....wayyy to much middle. You can mod the amp to sound better but I would just get a different amp. Pro Jr is a better amp

  • Yeah, I just played it at guitar center...the drive channel had mids that made it sound kind of muddy in a way, didn't really like it. It didn't sound tight at all.

  • That goldtop is a beauty. Nice trebly, Fender-y tone. Very vintage and sweet. Did you plug that Paul into your old Bluesbreaker? Instant Beano!!

  • sloppy playing....??...I beg to differ there Stow....great phrasing and freakin great tone!!

  • Nice guitar. You rock

  • what amp do you use ???

  • Well, the amp in this clip is a.....Fender Hot Rod Deluxe! Normally I would use my 65 Vibrolux Reverb but its been broken, that's why my mate let me borro his HRDLX

  • ok, i'm thinking about buting an hot rot deluxe

  • buying

  • Damn! That's a hot rod? Does it have a new speaker or something? My bud's hot rod is as muddy as a swamp.

  • haha! I dont rate HRDLX amps, but every now and then when you find the sweet spot its magic! Like in this clip, I love the tone..its all clean channel. Personally anyone who wants a HRDLX..get the Blues Deluxe or Pro Jr

  • I have a hot rod deluxe - you must have had this thing on almost full volume to get it to break up like that. I've just had mine on 9 and got it to almost break up. Could have also been my eardrums though.

Your neighbors must be very understanding or really like your playing!

  • love the tone of this one - bright and snappy!! just joined the goldtop brigade too! - just got a KILLER R6 - will post a vid soon

  • give it the bonamassa look!

  • Great playing, and amazing tone you have there, Mark. Great stuff! Beautiful guitar! :-)

  • Nice playing !!!

  • that thing is f'n magic. i need to steal some licks.

  • Fantastic job! Great feeling in your playing.

  • amazing

  • What pickups Mark?

  • Neck is Seth Lover, not sure what model? And bridge is a 57 Classic thats got a VERY aged cover on it..I think the wood of the guitar has the magic in it!

  • Great mournful tone there Stow!! Very Green / Kirwan ish!!! It sounds very free too. Like you're really feeling it!!!!

  • I've got to learn to start playing sloppy-that must be where I went wrong, lol. Great stuff-cheers

  • Excellent playing!

  • Do your neighbors hate you?

    Sweet tone and playing though!

  • Who could ever hate playing like that?!

  • People in a sad sad world. I wouldn't mind, in fact I'd love to listen. Except when I was trying to compose...

  • Amazing tone and playing!

  • great sounding guitar

  • Nice, can hear what you were on about. What amp?

  • Amp is Hotrod deluxe on clean channel up loud!.. my tech mate lent it to me white his fixes my Vibrolux, I'm waiting for a new tranny

  • If it has humbuckers wuldn't it be a R7?

Cause I thought PAFs appeared in 1957, please correct me if i'm wrong.

  • read the discription

  • Fantastic tone! Really warm and woody. Which amp are you playing through?

  • wow!!!!!!!! pure brilliance!!!!!

  • Sounds great

  • She's a Babe!

  • great tone are those real p.a.f.'s sounds excellent

  • Thanks..pickups are not real PAFs.. Neck is Seth Lover and bridge is a 57 Classic.. I assume they are from the 90s. This guitar with these pups sound KILLER!

  • Sounds great stow definitely has that old wood flavour :-)

  • Thanks..I love the tone of the neck..lots of rasp!
