Still to this day, I don't understand why Melanie thought she "had" to marry Phillip. There was no forcing, there was no reason. Nathan was completely right. She was marrying him impulsively. Melanie always does the wrong thing. Marrying Phillip was no different. The only right thing she ever did in her life was get involved with Nathan, but she screwed that up. It's been up to Nathan to make the relationship work. I wish Melanie would wake up and see Nathan is the only right decison she's made.

@butterflygirl1987 at the time melanies only family was maggie and she didnt approve of her and nathans relationship. and melanie was insecure she thought nathan could never love her if he knew everything about her past (remember her dad use to pimp her out) . on the other hand she had philip, who has a colorful past like hers and she knew that he wouldnt judge. remember that guy that came collecting money and philip defended her i think thats when she thought philip was the best choice
