And I saw the La Bamba,Selena and Notorious movies....I think the actors and actresses selected to play Biggie smalls,Selena and Ritchie Valens did better performing then actually looking like the person they were playing.I personally enjoyed all of the films and thought they were made very well.I hope they do aaliyah justice no matter who plays her......I agree that there are others out

there that look better for the part than Kiesha but I also understand that in Hollywood,stars and their managers make different deals with different people to get certain connections and roles for their meal tickets lol so its more a matter of knowing the right people which I think decides who is selected to play whom.

Aaliyah was the last of the flyest girls...meaning young women that act like women, stayed pretty without taking there class off etc. Hopefully this movie will get a lot of girsl back on the right track. She still a great role model- even in spirit.

@Sahbisun - I Truely agree with you on that...She showed midrift, and kept it classy/hip hop - and that's what set her apart from the rest of the young women out at that time. Janet expessed her womanhood when she became a woman and kept it classy, and Aaliyah admired Janet but never copied her, she had her own style & J.J. admired that about her...Unlike beyonce, Aaliyah & Janet still are tops in my book for keeping it classy/street...RIP Aaliyah, we miss you.

@daluckyprincess I hear that. Some people are just never satisfied. I think it comes from a place of being so well loved. People feel like they own her or knew her. But the same thing happened when Jennifer Lopez played Selena. People were pissed off because Jennifer is Porto Rican and Selena was Mexican. People find the most trivial things to be offended about. I thought Jennifer did a great job at playing Selena... Last good movie she ever did... except for The Cell that movie ruled lol.

I am closesly watching the reports about upcomign true story films.....you casn find a full list on wiki under "list of biograghical films"there have old,new and upcomign films.
There apparently will be a true story film about an Asian R &B superstar named U'nee who died tragically at the age of 25.I think Hollywood might be over doing it with all these biopics lol.
There is also one coming out about James Brown.
