In the face of competition from other games made using much bigger budgets and more technologically advanced engines, KREED certainly was an achievement. Fot those of us that like old school FPS based in Sci-Fi environments it was a welcome return to the days of DOOM and Quake.
btw, I'd also put Cryostasis in this category--not visually (it crushed the life outta my vid card), but because it is a generallly unknown sci-fi/horror import FPS. Throw any more titles out there?
Vivisector: Beast Within is worth a play through if you like old school shooters from little know developers. Operation Matriarchy may appeal to you as well. All of these games have one thing in common for me. They all have dreadful physics engines but are blessed with fantastic mapping.
That's what appealed to me in The Stalin Subway, Stalin Subway: Red Veil and You Are Empty.
If you like FPS/RPG hybrids then Neuro Hunter can be a mildly entertaining distraction.
Cool, tx, will check out. I remember playing a demo of Vivisector a few years back, but it fell off my radar. This is only available as d/l, I think? I'll look up the Stalin series, Neurohunter, Matriarchy too. Just recently picked up a copy of You Are Empty, new, marked down to $9. I can't imagine it not being worth $9!
Hey csipcgaRob, I agree about liking AAA titles as much as the next gamer, but hunting down and playing these unknown crap-gems (so many of them are often sci-fi FPS from Russia!) is a special experience (same with "B" flicks). Kreed, Alpha Prime, Twin Sector, Exodus from the Earth, Scorpion: Disfigured--while everyone else is playing through Dead Space a third time (a fantastic game, no argument), I've moved onto titles that few folks know--playing the underdogs! Is there a list anywhere?
Generally speaking, I purposefully seek out games that "suck big time". I like my AAA titles as much as the next gamer, but there is sometimes a hidden charm to be found in the world of obscure computer games. They usually provide me with a laugh, if nothing else.
Sometimes I find a half decent game (I enjoyed You Are Empty purely because of the mapping). Most often they're deadful. I have a morbid fascination with Science Fiction "B" movies and really bad video games. You're right though, I get quite a laugh out of how bad they are.
0:16 and after maked the game retarded.. how the fuck to bullets fly off as soon as he reloads his shotty? if u look closley u will notice that the bullets dont go inside the shotty. the fly out..
halos first trailer came in 2000 and kreeds first trailer came in 2001, and kreed wuz launched in 2003.
so its possible that u r right and this game is a copy of halo, although id like 2 doubt it cause personally , i like this game better than halo (even though i havent played kreed yet...or maybe i like this game cause its been a real pain trying to get it, im still trying to get it)
Kreed has its moments, but not very many of them: the levels are well-detailed and look good but are poorly laid-out, the character models and animations are bad, and the voice-acting is really, really awful.
There's also an expansion for this called Battle For Savitar which is supposed to be an improvement, but it was never released outside of Russia as far as I know.

I see what you mean. So you basicly buy games that suck, just to laugh at how poorly they where made?

Have a look on eBay. It's been around for a couple of years. If you like bizarre FPS it's actually not a bad game.
