  • @tinyoak2...thats bull. mormons dont marry 8 year old girls, so sounds to me like you really know nothing about the subject... =]

  • and yet the Mormons cry victim repeatedly. Going on and on how they are discriminated against because they have a god given right to marry children who are 8 years old...I was raised in a moron....errr mormon household and so glad I left that cult. Geee wonder why a tornado hit their precious church and ripped the golden statue of....can you say divine retribution?

  • How exactly do you know the kids were Mormon? It wasn't in the video. Just because some is in Idaho doesn't mean they're Mormon.

  • How exactly do you know the kids were Mormon? It was in the video. Just because some is in Idaho doesn't mean they're Mormon.

  • fucking awesome hope those kids grow up to hate him a like a good american would!!! IMPEACH OBAMA

  • @GoldenBullet65 You are a hateful, ugly person, GoldenBullet65. Stay away from children.

  • why would they have anything to say about religious beliefs??? what about the religion of kids who talk about raping girls on school buses. or what religion the columbine kids were??? people just want to hurt mormons because they have values and refuse to stoop to the natural man's level.

  • @MyJussi69 it's brainwashing....like when the mormon church tells you caffine is a sin, but own 85% of the shares in the coca cola company....

  • I'd like to see the statistics that show that the majority of kids on that bus were Mormon, please. Otherwise, don't blame controversial issues on a majority of population in an area just because of personal vendetta against those people. Thank you.

  • They never mentioned Mormons. What does this have to do with Mormons?

  • I salute those children! Another year and a half of Obama and it won't just be those children chanting that!! If we got rid of Obama it would be no lose to America what so ever! He's not even an American citizen and he lies about everything! He even lies about being a Christian. Wake up people! Why doesn't Obama take a permanent vacation? We're safer this way!

  • lol, even kids know Obama is bad

  • @AzoutLawz2010 Kids believe anything you tell them.

  • Haha Oh mormons gatta love them.

  • What about Obamas pastor saying goddamn america?

Its so easy to tag mormons

  • The title given to this video perpetuates the same kind of hate the story criticizes.

  • I'd never want to live in Rexburg...like Idaho Falls sans any reason. You can't blame the children, you'd have to look at the parents, teachers, church leaders, etc to see where this thing comes from.

  • Why are there children mocking witches behind him?? That is just insensitive to witches.. Fucker!

  • The school district told bus drivers and teachers that "all students should show proper respect for elected officials." What a load of BS! I have the right to say any leader is a fink. This isn't China!

  • I still remember singing taboo songs when I was a kid. It's the oldest prank in the book to trick younger kids into singing them.

Maybe this "concerned" school administrator has really stumbled upon a secret redneck plot to take out the Prez. Gradeschool children should think twice before they sing in front of this guy, the Pink Panther.

Don't sing about the "Genie with the 12 foot weenie" or the "Man from Nantucket" or this guy will call Social Services!

GET OUT OF IDAHO DOUCHE BAG!

  • Children in LDS Mormon community. Doesn't mean Mormon Children. The story dosnt tell who the kids are. Father is likely LDS himself as the side note explains (Whoolery, a psychology professor at Brigham Young University in Rexburg, is not an Obama supporter, but he was shocked that any public official would be threatened in that way. "I don't think that the majority of people in Rexburg have extreme ideas like that, but we were just surprised that it would go that far," Whoolery told KIKD.)

  • @ladl1975 Yes it does mean Mormon children. Mormon children can be just as mean, nasty and unkind as any other child can be. They typically learn it from their bigoted parents whom they either overhear talking about their hatred for the Democratic President and/or Democrat Congress. It's sad that the LDS Church membership is so extremely red even though the Church does not endorse one party over the other. There are some very famous Democrat LDS leaders including Apostle Anthony Ivans.

  • IS that what Mormons teach their kids? Shocking.

  • @909pleasantville no. it's not.

  • @909pleasantville they are mormons. We could run down a list of all of the stupid things they teach kids, that is, before they start impregnating them

  • why do ppl always blame mormans u guys r idoits who do we have nothing to do with it we takepride and love in our leaders i love obama and thomas s monson

  • Oh no!!! That's so incredibly dangerous. Time for reeducation camp, quick!

  • ha and idaho has ZERO good news reports because nothing ever happens here. thats why i like it!

  • haha! idaho has so much crap for saying things about obama. like when that rex rammel guy (who is running for govenor of idaho) had the "obama tags" incodent :) HAH! i love how that and this story both happened in rexburg! i love it here :)

  • HAHAHAHAHA

    This is the top story?

Idaho needs some real news instead of reporting on some elementary kids.

  • Right, like no one's kids have never said anything embarrassing or spectacularly out of line before. I can't imagine calling the TV News to tell them that someone's kid was saying something shocking. No birthday party invites for those kids, ever, now that other parents are afraid of ending up on the nightly news if their kids mouth off! Maybe the Woolerys never heard anybody in the Middle East say a bad thing about their leaders because they would be beheaded! Not a free speech zone!

  • You must watch Fox News.

  • Actually I don't, nor do I vote Republican. But I am a grownup. Grownups know that saying things that make the entire family run for cover is just part of childhood in every community, Mormon or not. I live in a small Utah town, am active politically, and the only people I hear talking violence are the Left accusing the Right. The "obviously guilty" conservatives never say any of the trash with which they are constantly accused. The profile doesn't fit real well, does anyone notice that?

  • Ha. Good points--all of them.

I remember getting in trouble for saying "lesbian" when i was in 4th grade. Had NO idea what it meant.

    Imagine THAT on the news!!

  • really quick too, IDAHO BLOWS. and i live here...

  • assasinate Obama! heehehe lol

  • I don't see how this being in an LDS community is relevant to this story. Are some Mormons intolerant or racist? Absolutely. But there are just as many intolerant people in mainstream Christian religions. I've even heard some surprisingly intolerant statements come from supposedly rational agnostics. To make generalizations about an entire religion based on something said by a few kids on a bus demonstrates that you are just as intolerant and biased as those evil, wicked, brain-washed Mormons.

  • ? Those kids are angels compared to the stuff I hear from kids

  • Another slow news day eh?

  • I think that a bus load of terrorists in training is newsworthy. If Bush were still in office, they'd be on their way to Cuba by now.

  • Cigars?

    Cuban cigars at that. :D

Yeah, so ID sucks. What's new. Whole lotta whinin' goin' on in these posts.

So it's Children of the Spud instead of Children of the Corn. Whoopeedew.

Do you know why there is so much room in ID? It's because the people are there are so small minded.

Gee, this is kind of fun bashing Idahoans. But way too easy.

btw David, I wouldn't call them terrorists. Killers maybe but not terrorists. There is height limit on terrorists. 4 feet?

  • I don't understand a lot of the symbolism in your comment. Monster from the Id? You have to be this tall to be a terrorist? How about Glinda's suicide Munchkin brigade? Dorothy's not always gonna be around dropping houses on the enemy.

Besides, I said terrorists in training. And we're not gathered here to bash Idahovians...we're here to bash Mormons. Bash! Bash! Bash! For Idahoites, I'd have said "Mash! Mash! Mash!" Get it? A potato joke. And a better potato joke than yours.

  • Very funny stuff potato joke. I personally have an intense dislike for almost all things Idahoan.

btw Love the Glinda and Dorothy stuff.

In Utah and Idaho, and other places where a high percentage of the people "belong" to a certain religion, you get many people who are, in this case, what I would call "social Mormons" or "business Mormons" etc. They don't really believe and or actually follow the principles of the religion. This is clear in ID and UT. Those people are pathetic.

  • You're a very difficult person to fathom. You list the bible (blech!) as one of your favorite books and a "Yes on Prop 8" video as one of your favorite videos (you have too many favorite videos, by the way)...and yet you seem to agree with me and even flatter me by laughing at my lame jokes (I like that, don't stop). So I'm not sure whether to like you or dislike you. Perhaps it would be best if we left it like that. I am sorry about your cat, though.

  • Perhaps we agree that we disagree.

One thing that I am glad to clarify in these posts. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormons.

Good luck to all. The call of the wild pork chop is singing my song so ciao for chow. Translation: I am hungry and going to eat. Perhaps I will have bashed potatoes with bits of fried up bacon mixed in. And sharp cheddar cheese grated in a large pile on top. Yep I am definitely out of here. :D

    .

  • The food sounds good but I'll pass on the religion. It doesn't agree with me. Peace and gay pride.

  • mash mash mash....

reminds me of Jake on 2.5 men

look up the squab episode...killer humor

  • SQUABBBBB!!!

  • Oh wait! I just realized you were writing the abbreviation for Idaho and not the Freudian "Id". Now it makes more sense. But still, down with Mormons! Off to Guantanamo with their children!

  • Nah, the best thing to do to those parents is to make them raise those kids until they are the horrible teenagers that they will without doubt become.

That way, the parents have to live in the hell that they created by being such rotten people, raising rotten kids, who become rotten teenagers who will spew vile vituperations vilifying their very venomous parents.

Sorry, that "V" thing got hold of me and wouldn't stop.

    So David, how's it going?

    :D

    Spring here... and you?

  • I live in Rexburg. It sucks.

  • I live in Idaho, and I'm one of the 2% of people in my community who isn't mormon. This state is the reddist in america, I hate living here but I have to, In my elementery years I got beat up because i was the only non mormon there, and in fourth grade the kerry bush election came and what do you know, I wanted kerry in office. Yup. The kids around here hate obama, because their republican parents want them too and becuase of their subtle racistness

  • Why do you have to live there? It's a big country and there are plenty of nice places where mormons are just laughed at...as they should be.

  • I'm only 14. I would love to live somwhere else, but I can't move cause I'm only 14. but in four years I plan too. lol I have one friend who isn't a mormon. the rest just put it aside. The Jahovas Witnesses around here are the really really annoying ones.

  • Jet, it never occurred to me that the reason you couldn't leave was your age. I feel sooo sad for you. If you plan on college, apply to schools in the northeast or in California. I guarantee you'll be amazed at how different things are. In the mean time, hang in there. Things will get better.

  • Dude, I was Mormon and hated living in Utah. It was soooo bad. But here in WA, it's great. Real people. And real nice people. UT and ID Mormons are mostly not people who live their religion. Sad and true.

Just think, in 4 years or less, you can get outa there.

    :D

  • well it sure has taught me how to be tolerant

  • Ahem...

    Mormons are people too...

    :P

  • Most of them aren't...but I suppose the ones that dress their cats in hooded sweatshirts are OK.

  • Isn't the world great. This video just makes me want to give everyone hugs. COME HERE EVERYONE GIVE ME HUGS!!!

  • humanity at its greatest

  • I know alot of Mormons; unfortunately I grew up in a Mormon family. Mormons are just about as obnoxiously "red" as it gets, but I have never met a single one in my life who would ever say anything like that. Granted I did grow up in L.A., which I suppose is alot less redneck-ish than Idaho. I really think it was just some stupid Mormon kid who heard his parents talking shit about Obama the day after he learned what "assassinate" meant. Dumb dumb dumb kids.

  • People show and teach their children rediculous or horrible things all the time racism is just one example or how to cook meth, porno, extreme greed, jewelry,misogony,cultural/religious/sexual bigotry and we have a 24 hour way of bringing it all to their attention via the news and internet so you can blame me for having a you tube account or yourself every time you watch the news. Blame one of the many parents who don't moniter their child .

  • christians love others who are like themselves.

  • If this took place in a mormon community, I wouldn't be surprised that parents taught their kids to say that.

  • Yeah right I am so "sure" they meant osama.

  • >im prettys shure they meant OSAMA not obama

I'm pretty sure they don't know the difference.

  • blame Obama

  • This is sad but they are children people... children. Notice also that adults of this "Mormon community" were very concerned about this behavior.

  • People in that region, predominately the LDS are very opinionated about religious and political beliefs. Usually unable to separate one from the other. People there are threatened by a Democratic and what they consider to be a black president.

Parents teach by example. We are seeing the fruit of their examples.

I went to college in Rexburg for a few years and witnessed a fair share of eye opening behaviors by these self proclaimed Christians.

  • I don't think that race has anything to do with it. However, the majority of Idaho is republican. Still, there was nothing that justifies this behavior, even though these children do not sincerely want to assassinate anyone. Let's be honest here. I don't think their parents do either. Sometimes, when politics are involved people say distastful remarks often jokingly on both parties. This behavior however is not becoming of conservatives... or anyone for that matter.

  • Furthermore, I think it is very unfair that you are tagging religion onto this event. If it happened in Alabama or Georgia would you say it happened in a Baptist community? I don't think so.

  • According to Sperling "80.17% of the people in Rexburg, ID are religious, meaning they affiliate with a religion. 79.28% are LDS" I'd say that qualifies this is a predominately LDS community. Rexburg also has a temple and BYU Idaho.

  • Yeah well most cities in the U.S. have a majority of people who are religious. I just think it's interesting that when something controversial happens in communities that are predominately baptist or methodist or lutheran or whatever, the town does not get tagged as a "baptist community" or a "methodist community", etc... and you know this is true.

  • According to Census data Rexburg is:

    White*: 94.3%

    Black*: 0.2%

Race just might have something to do with it.

  • Majority of the population is white, Mormon and Republican. I guess they do mix their religion and politics.

  • I lived in Rexburg for about 18 years I went to high school there. I went to college for a year there. Many people in Rexburg Discriminate if you're less fortunate than others, being hispanic/african american/ american indian. It comes from the parents, saying something racial to their spouse. I really do believe that it happens in Rexburg. I am Mormon myself, and wouldn't you find it funny The Church of Jesus Christ wouldn't allow african americans in their church for over a hundred years?

  • I live in Atlanta, I came from Rexburg Idaho. I highly doubt they were concerned about it, many people in eastern idaho are very discriminating.

  • Oooooooo Rexburg man. That's rough.

  • how disgusting, this is wht HATE must be stopped!

  • @medavog Not sure why anyone would post a news story about kids chanting, what does it have to do with religion? Although it's wrong; kids are kids and do far worse. Oh my let's call security some school children might through spit balls, through sticks and stones from Idaho. This is ridiculous, and to claim it is about race it just as bad as Obama himself pulling the race card anytime anyone ever disagrees with him. The irony is that Mormons actually would be the first to condemn these actions.
