  • That newegg ad was WIN!

  • SSD FTW

  • I'm waiting for Hitachi to release their 4 terabyte drive...then buy 8 for a RAID 6 array.

  • This video is 2 years ago... no wonder it seems outdated... lol... 2 years ago is like long years ago in technology development...

  • lol the 1tb now is like 90 buxs on newegg

  • Newegg has an open box 1TB Samsung drive for $60

  • but the hard drives are crap

  • Depends on which 1TB drive you get, the F1 is quite a bit more than the standard, but its MUCH faster.

  • i have it

  • shit , technology is advancing so fast, beaore you gnow it hard drives wil be verry fast and inexpencive to build

  • iPods where released in 2001????

wow i have been missin out :P

  • Who Would need a Terabyte?

  • somebody who loves ripping DVDs and storing them in their native .vob format for maximum quality. Each DVD takes up to 9 GB of space, which means that in 1TB you'd be able to store about 110 DVDs.

  • does a large capacity harddrive allow more faster computer and internet acces???

  • when you have for example a tv card a terabyte is full very fast... some people have so much music, some people have so many games...

  • I would really need a terabyte, for people like me that downloads. Its like a need when you have a really fast internet connection.

  • is there any chance that we may see portbale terabyte hard-drives within our life time, or within a few years at least ?

  • Considering how fast technology has gone in the last few years, I bet we will in the next while. Take laptops, for example. 5 years back, the largest amount of storage on a portable was 10-20 gigs, but nowadays, you can get up to 200 gigs on a laptop, and they are so thin. Also, portable music has gone from the first ipod in 2001, with a 5 gig HD and 3/4 of an inch thick. Now look at the G6 ipod, which is about 1/3 of an inch thick, and has a 160gb HD. Think about it..

  • I just found a portable terrabyte harddrive for about 200 Australian Dollars, so if that answers your question.

  • actually is 333,3 GB per platter, that means: 333+333+333 = 999,9 GB...methinks!!

  • yea that terabyte drive would be awesome for ps3 but only if it had the XMB stored on it because i dont want to use any other OS for my ps3

  • holy smokes the usb is awesome!

  • I wonder if the laptop hard drive works on a PS3.
