I think a lot of people dislike him because he doesn't handle the transferring of telling the judges to be quiet after being yelled at in his ear like... Ryan Secrest. One reason would be becuase he's new to the job. It's his first time and he's learning also i think it's because when he tells the judges to be quiet and move on it comes across as rude. With more time and experience he'll handle it better.

@busymike Lol, truer words have never been spoken. Steve seems like a good guy, and he tries so hard, but he really is not a good host. He makes noises like a 5 year old playing with Tonka Trucks every time he's introducing the show, and he is horrendously insensitive during eliminations. He needs to be watching tapes of Tom Bergeron literally nonstop when he's not working if he wants to keep his job.
