Filipino pool players usually aim low at the cue ball but thats not their true target,they do that to confuse the opponent on their strategy and to conceal their shot plans.

i saw bustamente on espn when i was 11 and he scared me, and what i still dont get is that his cue will sometimes be pointing like hes gonna use low left, then hell hit it with high right. Hes insane.

its a technique some pros will do for certain reasons. they have one set point on the cue to stop and pause before the execution step of the shot. they do this for havitual reasons when building their preshot routine
