jimmy merchant is a good friend of mine ( a father figure) and also my daughters godfather now some of the info on him is on point some r bold faced lies. #1.Frankie was a middle child Howie the oldest, Frankie, Luis, then Timmy with the exception of Luis theyre all dead Howie of pneumonia, Frankies, and Timmy (aids) anybody claiming to be frankies nephew/neice is probably lying. They all died childless. To the guy who claims he and jimmy talk through email. nope he hasnt been on 4 months

I can't help but notice how well dressed Frankie & His band are. The choreography is great. So much talent there, they did not need gaudy costumes.  I have seen other Frankie L videos where he is wearing beautiful tailored suits that could have been styled by Armani! Did Frankie love good clothes or was that his manager's idea?

Here's something that you may not know. When they were teenagers themselves, The Supremes started out as The Primettes and they used to wear Cheerleader Outfits with the letter P patterned after Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers. When Smokey Robinson was growing up he saw The Group whom he said was a major influence on him. In their own way, they really were the "original" Boy Band.

Yeah. But the movie was wrong samsarman. He first got married in 1964 to the Mickey women, so there for he was 22. Then a year later, he got married to Zola when he was 23. Then in 1967, he married the school teacher when he was 24 because Frankie's birthday hadn't came up yet. His birthday is in September 1942

This video is a treasure. Frankie and the Teenagers are progenitors of the "kid group" genre, and perhaps its best exponents. And this brother could SING with a polish and quality that has, to me, never been duplicated, particularly as his voice aged.Sadly, he couldn't make the jump to a larger audience and record companies found other much less talented but more "marketable" groups and solos to exploit.

Frankie ended up doing 2nd tier gigs, but remained a beautiful, humble, REAL brother.

Frankie's last recordings were really good. I love "seabreeze". His mature voice was every bit as beautiful and expressive as his teenaged voice. If he had lived I think he would've had a huge comeback.
