In the long bridges you can run and let Yorda follow you. When the shadows appear let them grab her and they they'll take her to the other side faster.

no lie, they must've patched ICO because my shadow people are smart as shit... i quit the game when ur just leaving the east tower. that LOOOOOONNNG run u have to do. i quit it bcuz i was pissed.. my people dropped down and punch the shit out of Ico. and took yorda, yet for u there stupid as fxck and continue flying flying after you....

Am I the only one who can't cut the rope at 2:53? Tried it about 100 times, the only way I can cut it is by climbing up to the ledge on the wall.

To be honest, I think its better to save at the waterfall after you've stopped the water and jumped down with yoda, otherwise, players must get through the piston jump, waterfall jump, part with the block and shadows, AND every other little platforming bit. I prefer breaking it up into 10 minutes, 6 minutes, or whatever, instead of a whole 16 minutes.

Ahh Yorda is such a retard sometimes I spent a good 2 hours retrying the cemetery part call her stupid bitch countless times, great guide by the way haven't got the trophy yet on my first try I was late for 2 mins 30 sec hope I get enough time on my second try.... Good luck everyone!!

@ryudragon86 And the waterwheel at second attempt ;) my time (i've saved at falls) is 1h 02 minutes, i've got the lightsaber too but i think i've lost some time trying to protect yorda in some parts where the shadows kidnapped her instead of letting her go like the videos. I really hope that i'm still in time for the trophy.

Pausing the game is fine-Place Yorda where she is thoughout video. If Yorda was in just the slightest of different spots my results would be negative. There r exceptions tho. You'll learn as you play through. Mostly Yordas local is important when shadow monsters and/or switches r involved-Luck is needed sometimes, always perfect an area b4 moving onto next do practice runs if needed-You should have a no less then 33 min availible at ur last save point-Watermill area is toughest cause of jumps

I had a save time at the Main Gate of 1:32:35 and I "perfected" the rest of the game. Still didn't get the trophy on that playthrough, so I'd say that having a 1:27:00 time at the Main Gate should give you enough time to make it the rest of the way.

- Piston jump: just press (and keep pressed) triangle when the piston starts to go down, it's really easy once you know the trick.

- Water wheel: do not mash triangle button: wait for the end of the climbing animation, then wait just a demi second and hit direction + jump. I manage to do it every time since I understood that.

- The shadows part (13:00): leave Yorda just after the stairs. Go down, push the box, climb, keep R1 pressed, enjoy ;)

I've read that you can make a small detour to save on the bench you can see at 12:50 BEFORE going to the water wheel.

I think I might try that, wasting maybe 1 minute to do so might worth it seeing how the water wheel jump is a total nightmare.
