I have a teacher to back me up with my team idea since they have more influence on the school board than myself and my friends do plus I have gotten all of my gear and stuff b4 I asked them so they don't have to pay right away

I later did talk to the principle and he was cool with it too. now i have 30 plus in our club and some 7-8 teachers go to. but this was just my high school and it did take a year to get it going anyway

I sat down with my administrators and explained that the reason I wanted to make the club was to bring the sparse paintball players at the school together and meet each other and all that shit, reminisce about past experiences while playing, etc... but I made it fuckin' clear as crystal that no guns would be brought on campus
alot of things have changed though like the ncpa they support high school paintballing they even make tournies all around the states for highschool paintballing and i even heard that some colleges recruit for paintballing

@wildbear117 yes it is. thats exactly who you would talk to. i was a freshman last year, and i talked to my principle about it. she said that i need to make a video on what paintball really is, present it to her, and she would consider it. i live in oklahoma. just know that your principle knows that paintball is more of a sport than just people going and shooting each other.
my best friend who graduated 3 years ago talked to our school after haveing a club. All they did was wear long sleve shirts with the school name and emblom on the front with names and # on the back. All our school did was reconize us and gave us $ enough to get paint for like a week every semester so we have to do fundrases all the time. It almost got cancled last year because we smoked them at a football game so they came out and painted all the buses one football game.
Hey Mike, I can't speak for other Universities but at the Cal State University I am at we just started a paintball club. The only requirements for any student organization is to have a least 5 members, an approved constitution (in which we included a stipulation where members are not to keep their markers in housing), a faculty advisor, & all the correct paperwork turned in on time. The main benefit of having a recognized club is being able to apply for grants & become a non-profit org w/ tax ID
We're not a successful club yet but are working towards it. I have been involved in other successful clubs at my university and know the huge benefits that are gained through access to grant money. I disagree with "begging for forgiveness." Through my experiences I have found that approaching administration with kindness and showing a will to work with them will lead to the best solution. There should be an office on campus that is there for the student organizations to succeed
what you could do is not even have to bring the paintball guns to school. you could use the club to just make up game plans as a team and just discuss and talk about it
@JoeT5523 our College club is currently pursuing an arrangement with campus police to see what we can do about properly storing dangerous gear on campus. If planning on buying equipment with the universities money they require it to be stored on campus, at least at our University

i have an idea about the whole talking to the school admin about starting a club, what if you get a paintball feild/shop owner to go in and lecture the admin about the intence saftey that is practiced with paintball, if i was a feild owner i would love the publicity of having a whole high school knowing about paintball and i would probably offer discounts to the club members because it would practicly be advertismenets walking around a group of people averaging 1500-4000 people everyday
@jp294808 just like mike said most schools aren't allowed but like Liberty University, Virgina Tech, Ohio, Florida Gators (all college teams)....etc they are allowed. You could also watch NCPA 2010.

our school has had a Paintball club for 8 years. We even had a small tournament for local schools. now ofcourse we can bring pb guns on campus its. we received small funds. and even advertised on the schools TV channel. IDK how they do outside of Texas but Paintballs pretty well known around here.
Missouri S&T (college i will be going to) has a paintball club, though i could not find out about the dorm rules, i looked but could find anything about that, but i do agree with you, we had a kid at my school that drove his dads truck to school and it had chew on the dash, well here is missouri they have "the right" to look inside your car. The school's officer saw the chew and the kid almost got kicked out.

my school cant do a paint ball club because it involves projectiles. just imagine how sick it would be to roll out some inflatables in the gym and use re-balls in the gym lol

@wildbear117 yes it is. thats exactly who you would talk to. i was a freshman last year, and i talked to my principle about it. she said that i need to make a video on what paintball really is, present it to her, and she would consider it. i live in oklahoma. just know that your principle knows that paintball is more of a sport than just people going and shooting each other.

my best friend who graduated 3 years ago talked to our school after haveing a club. All they did was wear long sleve shirts with the school name and emblom on the front with names and # on the back. All our school did was reconize us and gave us $ enough to get paint for like a week every semester so we have to do fundrases all the time. It almost got cancled last year because we smoked them at a football game so they came out and painted all the buses one football game.

Hey Mike, I can't speak for other Universities but at the Cal State University I am at we just started a paintball club. The only requirements for any student organization is to have a least 5 members, an approved constitution (in which we included a stipulation where members are not to keep their markers in housing), a faculty advisor, & all the correct paperwork turned in on time. The main benefit of having a recognized club is being able to apply for grants & become a non-profit org w/ tax ID

We're not a successful club yet but are working towards it. I have been involved in other successful clubs at my university and know the huge benefits that are gained through access to grant money. I disagree with "begging for forgiveness." Through my experiences I have found that approaching administration with kindness and showing a will to work with them will lead to the best solution. There should be an office on campus that is there for the student organizations to succeed

@JoeT5523 our College club is currently pursuing an arrangement with campus police to see what we can do about properly storing dangerous gear on campus. If planning on buying equipment with the universities money they require it to be stored on campus, at least at our University

ummm im not questioning anything u have ever said Mike, but i talked to my principle about it actually and he just told me i need to get a sponsor and i told him obviously each player is going to have their own gear and actually i have to totally agree with you on the thing with the marker which i need to make it clear who i ever get up into the team/club for them NOT to bring it to school (high school level)

hey mike i have made a paintball club at my highschool and im a freshman i didnt as the principal i just asked a football coach to see if he wanted to coach it and he said sure but we are going to be doing turnys and we will have our school name on our jerseys

I know this video is pretty old, but thinigs have changed. I (from NYC) created a High School paintball team. Obviously we arent bringing the guns to school....
But we are playing in tournaments, etc.
Just interesting to note things have changed. Maybe post a new vid? :)

i have an idea about the whole talking to the school admin about starting a club, what if you get a paintball feild/shop owner to go in and lecture the admin about the intence saftey that is practiced with paintball, if i was a feild owner i would love the publicity of having a whole high school knowing about paintball and i would probably offer discounts to the club members because it would practicly be advertismenets walking around a group of people averaging 1500-4000 people everyday

@jp294808 just like mike said most schools aren't allowed but like Liberty University, Virgina Tech, Ohio, Florida Gators (all college teams)....etc they are allowed. You could also watch NCPA 2010.

I wish I saw this video when I was in High school. We made the mistake of asking about 5 teachers if they could be a club admin and like you said, they had no interest and didn't understand it. We really should have said fuck it and done a club under the radar.

My school has a paintball club. It's run by a teacher hear and all we do is woodsball in the fall. What would it take to get a school team for speedball since my school is right near Headrush in Syracuse NY.

our school has had a Paintball club for 8 years. We even had a small tournament for local schools. now ofcourse we can bring pb guns on campus its. we received small funds. and even advertised on the schools TV channel. IDK how they do outside of Texas but Paintballs pretty well known around here.

Missouri S&T (college i will be going to) has a paintball club, though i could not find out about the dorm rules, i looked but could find anything about that, but i do agree with you, we had a kid at my school that drove his dads truck to school and it had chew on the dash, well here is missouri they have "the right" to look inside your car. The school's officer saw the chew and the kid almost got kicked out.

Stop being such a hater and try to help the sport grow man. Encourage these kids to go out and try, so what if they get questioned... "If the glove doesn't fit... then they are full of SH*T" as OJs attorney would say.
