My grand father lived to his late 97 or 98 ,i would consider lucky if i could live long like THE DIVINE till 100 and still able to have devotees listen to each and every words- a rare saint indeed.I was staying at that time with late Garidos Girigi for few days while in chennai who arranged my trip to Kanch,Thirupathy,Varnasi,meeti­ng of 3 rivers and worshiping several temples in tamil nadu.

I am really fortunate to have had Darshan of this Rare Gem. It was at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. Swamiji was staying in the Siva temple and I went with my uncle to have Swamiji's Darshan, with a garland knitted only with the holy Bilva leaves.

The moment we offered the garland to Swamiji he immediately accepted it and placed it on his head. This is truly a terrific and very prominent event in my life. I bow at his lotus feet.

He is explaining the greatness of Thotakacharya,one of the direct disciples of Sri Adhi Shankara.He narrates how when Thotakacharya recites eight stanzas in praise of Adhi Shankara all the other disciples got overwhelmed and started doing namaskarams to Adhi Shankara as well as Thotakacharya continously...

Indeed, I was in tears seeing this mama, omg see him, ppl worship him but he never said or posed himself as God himself .... I love that simplicity which many so called saints lack :) :)

Thanks for the video.I was blessed to see him on his 100th year day.The name of the mutt has got spoilt with the next periyava's. Chandrasekara swamigal was very simple and lead by example.May he bless the people.

I do not agree to what you say, he is the greatest, that doesn't mean the next acharyas are not good, its the ppl around , those days there was not much politics around as these days :)

Do not forget that the next ones are selected by chandrasekhara himself and I dont think HE can be wrong

I respect your thoughts. It was my opinion infact i have got ashirvadam from pudhu periayava when i was in yenathur to learn veda.but somehow i feel that the tru holyness and the feel of kanchi isn't the same as it was when Chandrasekara swamigal was there.

V true, the holiness is not just in mere persons but the divine Kancheepeetam, If hinduism is based on karma sidhanta, then one has to believe that everything happens bcoz there is a reason behind it, and the peetam which Adisankara established in kaanchipuram every acharya who is the adhipathi is for a reason,

most famous acharya in that way is Abhinava sankara and ppl got confused about this abhinava sankara and adisankara himself that much divine he was , so the ppl at his time might think he is the most divine than anyother its always relative :) :)
